Wow! Just Wow! I struggle to find the words to describe the beauty and unique cultural experiences of Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point! These are some of the bluest waters I have seen in the Caribbean. Soft sands, tinted pink from the crushed shells of conch that populate the ocean around the island. The Goombay Cultural Center was so much fun! Opportunities to learn about the history of Junkanoo and see a real Junkanoo Rush. One day was not enough to take it all in! I definitely want to come back again and again.

Animator's Palette for dinner last night! This fun restaurant starts in black and white and the screens around show sketches in black and white... As the evening goes on, slowly everything turns full color and animation! Spoiler: The meal service ends with Fantasmic music, a special guest, and a fantastic finale. I might have teared up a little. 🥹 The food here blew me away too!

The best part about the Disney Cruise Line is the rotational dining! Enjoy a different dining experience every night!

Sadly, I had to return to my responsibilities today and travel home today... But not before a little extra park time and picking up butterbeer fudge and chocolate frogs for my family. 😅 Had to reward myself for all that hard work shopping with one more butterbeer! This time soft serve to celebrate the start of the Butterbeer Festival! On the last leg of my flight home, I met a new friend who was also collecting cards... So we, of course, had to snap a pic! 😉

Looking forward to breaking down everything I've seen and learned this week with you!!!

Day 3 was filled with park time!! We started the morning with breakfast at Leaky Cauldron before heading to Hagrid's Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure. Since it was the one dedicated park day, we went straight for Velocicoaster --- two of the best rides in the park!!! Then it was time to move back over to Universal Studios to get ready for the Mardi Gras events! Of course, first up was makeup, then dinner, and then off to costuming to get ready for bead throwing!!!

Day 2 was about room tours, training, and enjoying Mardi Gras as a guest! We met some of the parade performers and got to see them later on during the Mardi Gras parade!!

First day at Universal was so much fun!! We checked in for the event and did some bowling!!! 🎳 Yes! Bowling!! Did you know Universal's Cabana Bay Beach Resort features its very own bowling? You can even order food and drinks to enjoy as you play! Promise they won't kick you out if you aren't any good! 😜 They didn't with my 5 empty frames!!! 🤣🫣

You pour your coffee and get a random text from your travel agent... "Do you have Disney+?" You reply that you do. "Okay, you have saved $$$ on your package!" Done. Promo applied. That's it. It was pretty easy wasn't it? vs. You booked your package online with Disney. You scroll social media and see that Disney has released a new promotion so you call in to apply it to your package... "We are experiencing longer than normal wait times. Your estimated wait time is 160 minutes." 2.5 hours later and lots of static-y phone hold music later... You have the promo applied. This is the benefit of working with a travel professional! We stay up to date on all the promotions and work to apply any that save you money... Usually before we even work on posting or promoting it. How much does it cost to work with mel? NOTHING! You pay the exact same amount booking with me as you do direct through Disney.... Well, I would argue. Maybe a little less. 😉 And time is money!

✨ Updated Mask Policy at WDW ✨ Walt Disney World has also changed their mask policy to include the following guidelines: “Face coverings are optional in outdoor common areas at Walt Disney World Resort, but are still required upon entering and throughout all attractions, theaters, and transportation.”

These Wilderness Explorers just planned their next trip back to Ft. Wilderness Campgrounds! No tents this time, but they will be checking out a cabin!!
