Chasing Contours Sailing the seas to climb, hike, cycle, ski and fly the world's treasures. We decided it was time to try a different lifestyle and see the world.

We don’t belong to the ‘Quit Your Job, Follow Your Dreams, See the World’ genre; we don’t believe in just letting go of everything we built up over the years, and this goes true for work relationships, friends, and other connections that keep us rooted. It was Tim’s lifelong dream to set sail and explore, while my dream always involved travel and making a difference. Together, we change this perce

ption of a ‘trip’ into a ‘lifestyle’. We challenge ourselves to live a life where we will feel more connected to the natural environment, because we feel a responsibility towards it. We are excited to see how we handle living in close quarters over long periods of time, catching up on unread books, unpractised hobbies, learning new skills, and honing old ones. We are excited to take you with us on this journey, keep in touch and let the adventures begin!!!

So this just came up in Estonia! For those that don’t know our family have been in maritime for 190 years, starting out as a humble ships chandlery in 1833. This would have been supplied to a ship around 1850. It’s a navigational sextant for determining your position using the sun and stars. These were still in use until the 1990s prior to GPS and ships are still required to carry them in case GPS goes down.

No flying, biking, climbing or skiing to report I’m afraid. Just Célestine enjoying her first experience of boat life. I’m thanking Neptune every day that she isn’t a seasick child!

Feeling good to be back aboard after nearly 2 years out of the water. This time with the additional crew member causing chaos! Every button needs to be pressed, every draw opened and every thing climbed! 🤯

This simple mod has saved up to 30% power consumption of our fridge. Even more with guests aboard who seem to take joy in standing around ponging the meaning of life with the fridge door open

*Clearly not applicable to chest fridges.

Really feeling for these guys that had their boat sunk by an Orca off the coast of Portugal.

Over 100 attacks on sailing vessels now on that coast just in the last two years!

Is it boat, is it a van, no… it’s a house! That’s right we’re actually moving into a house for a bit! Well only for a bit whilst this little nipper groups up enough to fit a life jacket!

Finally managed to get Célestine out on the water! Not on Shadowfax but we were sailing at least!

Exactly 10 years ago, 3 of us flew our paragliders from the Jungfraujoch (3500m) in Switzerland and only 2 of us landed. 4 days later the third, Dan, was found at the bottom an incredibly deep gorge after we raised £17k and rallied volunteers from 5 different countries after the Swiss search and rescue gave up. This week many of those who helped, reunited in Lauterbrunnen to celebrate and descend into the gorge to truly feel what it would have been like to be trapped down there. Here is to not giving up hope when all seems to be lost.
