So many factors play into the cost of your honeymoon.

1. The time year: Will you travel during peak season?

2. How many cities you'd like to visit, are you staying in one location? Or are you wanting to travel from Tuscany to the Amalfi Coast?

3. Transportation - are you hiring a private driver, renting a car, flying, or taking a train?

4. Are you booking private tours, beach club passes, or staying low-key?

All of these factors and more play into your overall cost.

How early should you book?

It’s never too early to plan ahead for your honeymoon. Start looking into locations a year before your wedding so you can figure out the best places to visit around your wedding date. On average, couples book their honeymoons 2 months after becoming engaged.

You should also budget for gratitude, for things like your driver, and your private tour guide. Don't forget that these budgets don't include your meals out and buying souvenirs.

Is there anything better than a good resort/hotel stay?

In the past, I’ve stayed at countless resort/hotels, but some always stick out in your mind more than others. Here are my two favorites!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Sabi Sabi Earth Lodge, Greater Kruger, South Africa - I mean.. Nothing TOPS going on Safari. But the Sabi Sabi Earth lodge has to be one of the most impressive architectural resorts I have ever stayed at. You can’t tell where the resort ends and where the bush starts, I have never felt more at peace.

The Ritz-Carlton, Berlin, Germany - As soon as you walk in, you are greeted by a staircase like no other. The entire hotel design, is Art Deco décor and references the film era. You can not beat the location, when you walk outside the hotel you walk right into history.. but the one thing I still talk about to this day is their breakfast. The spread of food was insane, as was the taste!

So.. I was born in Staten Island, New York... but I couldn't take that for long. Since then I've lived in New Jersey, Arizona, Rhode Island, and as of late; Oregon.

Along the way I managed to earn a Bachelor's in Hotel and Event Management. I've worked as an event coordinator, party planner, restaurant manager and I even managed a large hotel. It wasn't long until I realized that I liked the travel business more from the guest's point of view...

After graduating college I managed a road trip from the Atlantic to the Pacific. (yes we hung out in Canada). I've scuba dived in Thailand, stamped my passport in Copenhagen and found myself on a deserted beach on an island near Cambodia. It turns out they filmed some show "Survivor" there?
