This January my mother, brother and I will be traveling with National Geographic Tours to the cold waters of Antarctica. We will begin our trip in Argentina spending a few days in Buenos Aries and then traveling to Ushuaia, the southernmost city in the world, where we will board the Explorer. From there we will have close to 24 hours of daylight due to the time of year as we travel around the Antarctic Peninsula and the surrounding islands.
