"The Lobster Empire" was inaugurated today, the installation of large sculptures by the artist Philip Colbert who for three months, until July 15, will animate the historic Piazza Largo San Martino in Naples.
The exhibition is curated by Catherine Loewe, organized by Bam events of art and promoted by the Municipality of Naples
Colbert is one of the most innovative artists of the contemporary scenario and has had a global following with his character with the appearance of an lobster similar to a cartoon, his sculptures have also been installed outdoors also in Venice and Rome in Rome Via Veneto.
Stratified cities with millennial history, Naples, with its proximity to the archaeological excavations of Pompeii it was a source of inspiration, for: “In my work I am very attracted by the relics of ancient civilizations, mosaics and chipped marbles and broken by the time often I refer, such as the compositions of lobster scenes on amphorae vessels. -The Philip Colbert-I love the idea that today we live among the ruins of the past and that we often do not even stop to admire but which influence the present ".

What do you do on New Year's Eve?
The New Year's Eve in Naples 2023 organized by the Municipality offers a calendar of shows that will lead towards the new year. It begins on Thursday 29 December with a concert in memory of Pino Daniele.
On the evening of December 31st in Piazza Plebiscito there will be the Peppy Night show with Peppe Iodice, Belen Rodriguez, Lina Sastri, Clementino, Biagio Izzo and many other guests. After midnight concert by Lucariello and Franco Ricciardi introduced by the disc-jockey Daniele Decibel Bellini.
