Did you know that Beach huts started off in the 19th Century as 'Bathing Machines'?
These vehicles looked like beach huts on wheels and they could be hired for half hour periods. Patrons would get in at the top of the beach, change out of their normal clothes as a horse pulled them towards the seas, then step directly into the water from the front of the machine.

Dickies Beach Hut Hire is located overlooking the sea on the Lower Esplanade in Gorleston, Norfolk. Enjoy calm tranquillity of your own sand and sea world! There's a free spacious car park, situated directly above the Beach Hut!
The hut is nautical/surf themed with a leather sofa inside, tea, coffee, sugars and disposable cups provided as well as a kettle and a large urn which keeps the water hot for 12 hours. ☕

The beach hut is situated at the end of a terrace on the first (upper) floor above the main promenade in an ideal location that gives unobstructed panoramic views of the sun, beach, sea, and from the Isle of Wight to Old Harry rocks.
Dogs are welcome on all beaches from 1 October to 30 April but must be kept on a leash while on the promenade.
The beach hut offers a small kitchen/storage facility, though no electricity.
