As you know, ASTA filed a formal complaint with the Department of Transportation (DOT) against American Airlines (AA) alleging unfair practices in connection with its implementation of New Distribution Capability (NDC) technology.

The Denver Travel and Adventure Show is this Saturday and Sunday, January 20th and 21st at the Colorado Convention Center.

ASTA Headquarters paid for a table. We need your help staffing the booth. Can anyone help for a two hour shift (or more if you want) between 9:30am and 5pm on Saturday or anytime between 11:00am and 4:00pm on Sunday? You will get in free with an exhibitor badge and you can attend the show before or after your shift.

DiSC® is a personal assessment tool used by more than one million people every year to help improve teamwork, communication, and productivity in the workplace. DiSC profiles can also help improve your effectiveness in sales situations. Understanding and adapting to your customers’ styles is essential for connecting on a human level and seeing each other "eye to eye."
We will begin with the assessment to help each person learn about their own style and preferences. Then we will look at how others are similar or different than our style. We will discuss how to improve communication and understanding with others. Finally, we will focus on tips for selling to each style including outlining how each style likes to interact during the booking process.
This session will be led by Sally Sparhawk, a member of our Rocky Mountain ASTA Chapter Board. She is an experienced and energetic presenter. Come prepared to have fun, learn about yourself and others AND learn time-tested techniques for connecting with your clients and increasing your sales.

The DISC profile workbook and materials are free for ASTA members; you are welcome to bring others as well (though we will need to charge about $20.00 for their workbook and materials).
