When you get asked if you would like to receive an upgrade, you say, “yes please and thank you!” 🙌🏼 🌎💫

Pro tip for unlimited life upgrades: tip the people who work in service and hospitality…especially when they are pouring into you, schlepping your bags, and making your favorite beverage or meal!

I know exactly why I receive and say yes to upgrades, and parking spots, and even green lights especially when I’m running late.

To receive you must give, with no expectations. Just a heart string tug to do something without needing anything in return.

Money isn’t even required, often eye contact and a heartfelt smile will do just fine.

Tis the busy season for corporate events, conferences, meetings, travel, budgets, and the nitty gritty grind we know and love called event planning.

I am teaching a free Masterclass on 10/30 called ALIGNED, designed to help planners and teams build better boundaries WHILE you’re building epic experiences for your clients or internal teams!

When you work in the events and hospitality industry, you often find yourself serving others before serving yourself. It’s just kind of the norm and unfortunately things (your wellbeing, mental health and physical body) can become out of balance.

Anxiety, chronic stress, depression, exhaustion and insomnia are not uncommon symptoms for those who are often referred to as “party planners.”

Yes, the job is fun and we do plan some bomb ass parties, but as exhilarating as it looks and feels, we are so much more than party planners plus it can be equally exhausting and lead to burn out.

I know because I have lived it, loved it, hated it, and now have ALIGNED it!

We simply can’t pour from an empty cup! Learning to fill my cup up first and not feel guilty about it has been a journey in itself. Between being a woman, a single mom, and a business owner in the event and hospitality industry where serving others is the primary foundation, this took a major mindset shift.

Balance is out, ALIGNMENT is in!

Over 300 women gathered for the 2024 Women Build It Conference, where I had the honor of delivering my new signature called ALIGNED.

These women PLAYED BIG yesterday. I am so inspired and grateful to have met and stood beside such an inspiring, powerful, and talented group of women.

I am a big believer in interactive experiences, encouraging audiences to embrace their emotions and feelings in order to fully embody their whole BEing, connecting their minds and bodies as we collectively raise the energy in the room!

We still live in a hustle and grind culture, where many of us have been or are on our way to destination burn out.

I’ve unlocked the secret code and on fire 🔥 inspired to share this message with teams and audiences who are ready to become ALIGNED!

Thank you to so many for the opportunity to open and share my heart!

Grateful for all of the misalignments in my life, for they have all steered me onto a path that is becoming ALIGNED!

Have you been to Pause yet, a 20-min free virtual experience every Monday that gets you out of your head (thinking mode) and into your body (feeling mode).

Each month, we focus on a different theme and energy center of the body.

June was all about expanding our hearts, July was about building confidence and this month, we are bringing awareness to our sacral energy center, a place where our creativity and emotions are housed.

I have so many pictures and thoughts to share after traveling alongside a small group of courageous women to this wild and wondrous part of the world 🌍.

So I will start with this.

It is a gift to simply be alive. We can have everything or nothing at all, and yet our happiness and how we handle adversity is a choice and inside job.

Traveling is a gift and yet so many unexpected twists and turns can arise, especially during a 14-day journey.

Grateful to have partnered with for this immersive and cultural experience.

Still on CLOUD 9 from my recent trip to San Miguel de Allende, Mexico 🇲🇽

My business, Elevate Travel Co. is celebrating its 5th anniversary this year and WOW what a perfect destination to celebrate ALL things.

I’m so grateful to have made it through many unforeseen and unexpected twists and turns along the entrepreneurial journey (16 years now in total since I have been in business on my own or alongside partners). It’s never been easy but I wouldn’t have it any other way.

One of my favorite parts of the work I get to do and create…is scouting the experiences and amenities available at the destination, hotel, restaurant or venues I am visiting.

I then get to come back and share it with our corporate clients who host meetings and events abroad, giving them real life advice and inspiration on how we can collectively ELEVATE their next experience, meeting or reason for gathering!

We chose the Abeula Dinner 🥘 for an intimate group dinner and setting during a trip.

WOW what a memorable experience!

Chef explained how the menu was a collaboration by the entire team…each recalling upon some of their favorite recipes they learned from their grandmother’s.

You could feel the decades of love poured into each dish.

So many flavors.
So many colors.
So many memories.

While Aruba is an incredible for corporate groups, I recently went for personal vacation.

Just taking in the warm breeze and bright Aruban sun one last time before catching an afternoon flight home.

I’ve spent a week here on an actual real vacation.

No site inspections, no reviews (okay 1 on open table because I found a new restaurant that just opened and it gets 5 stars in my book):

But this place, .aruba holds a special place in my heart and always will.

It’s for those who appreciate the sounds and sights of nature, peace and true rest and relaxation.

There is no loud thumping background music. Only the nearby roosters 🐓

There is no swim up bar or beach restaurant.

You have to drive to those places for that experience and it’s only about 15-30 minutes away depending upon which side of the island you’re heading!

Here, there is only peace, and all the amenities you need to make yourself feel at home.

3 casitas on property, each beautifully designed with a king bed, full kitchen and dining room table, living room, 2 flat screen TV’s (one in bedroom), bathroom with walk in rain shower and full amenities (robe, slippers, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel), and even an outdoor shower steps away!

Hit the grocery store or pay to have your fridge stocked, grab the beach chairs, yoga mats and cooler provided in your casita and get out to explore all this island has to offer.

Waking here to the songs of the birds and coming back home to rest or swim in the pool after a full day of adventure has been the highlight of my experience.

Born and raised in Indianapolis, racing is in our blood.

This kid, Carson Sauter, has BIG dreams and we believe he’s got what it takes to go as far as he sees possible, which is to race and win The Indianapolis 500!!!

We are so excited to travel out to North Carolina May 4-6 for his first regional karting race this season.

This 15-year old freshman is advancing to the KA Senior Class this season. He’ll have some big competition but we know he’s got the heart and dedication to finish strong!

He’s continuously looking for supporters and partners to help him reach big goals to compete nationally this season. If you know of anyone passionate about racing and supporting teen dreams, he’d be over the moon to connect.

Discover Black Mountain, NC. This small town is nestled in the Blue Ridge mountains, about 20 minutes outside of Asheville. It’s a lot quieter compared to Asheville - there are no rooftop bars or high rise hotels. Yet it still has plenty of local artsy shops and family-owned restaurants lining the main streets of town.
