Dees Burke Engineering Constructors, LLC is looking for an experienced Project Manager with heavy/highway structural concrete experience to drive Southern California operations to become an integral part of the management team.
The Project Manager will provide overall leadership for multiple concrete barrier crews working on projects in the Southern California region. This person will oversee day-to-day site operations, scheduling coordination for available resources, safety oversight, contract management issues as they arise, cost tracking against budgets to provide information for estimating new projects, etc.
Important skills will be reading and understanding Caltrans plans and specifications, applicable computer, and software applications as well as exceptional technical and field management abilities. Communication on a regular basis with clients, Owners, and field crews is critical. This position reports directly to the Field Operations Manager.
Required Responsibilities
• Able to read construction plans and documents
• Oversee the daily operation of construction projects and resources
• Able to determine and address scope discrepancies prior to contract ex*****on and the start of work
• Monitor project safety plans and compliance.
• Travel to various job sites to assess for the start of work and to follow up with field crews during construction.
Qualifications
• 5+ years' heavy-highway experience required.
• Demonstrated leadership and problem-solving skills
• Detail-oriented and strong follow-through skills
• Self-motivated and passionate about working in construction and with field crews, owners, and general contractors to deliver quality finished products.
• Strong project management and communication skills
