First ride out for in a while as I've been waiting for things to thaw out and be a little safer. ❄️🚴

Spent as much on gravel tracks which helped and got round unscathed 👍💪

However colder than I thought at -4°C so after just over an hour I was happy to be finishing. ☃️

Lovely frosting and dusting over the fields was a great sight.

Had a service done with BikeX - UK in Wi******er and with a replacement bottom bracket and headset, along with a tune up on many other areas, it's like a whole new bike. 👍🚵‍♂️

He has just smashed the furthest distance cycled in 1 hour by going an incredible 56.792km. 😳🚴

To get an idea on how insane this is. Next time you are on your bike, or perhaps in the gym with a static bike, go as hard and as fast as possible for a short sprint.
Have a look at how slow you are in comparison, and then imagine holding that effort for a whole hour. 💪

Last month I rode the Glorious Gravel Surrey Epic with my brother 🚵👍

A great day riding and was so much fun exploring a new area of the UK. 🇬🇧
Here is the race report where I look at the biggest issue that a gravel race had such a large amount of tarmac on it's course. 🤔

"I had only travelled 20km in 2 hours 50 minutes. I did some filming in that time, but for the majority it was just tough going. The views of the park were ace, even with the grey cloud cover. But sand is obviously a slow surface to ride on, and the rocky uphill narrow tracks made it even tougher. I felt pretty deflated at the progress here"
