Fireworks light up the skies of Florence for la Festa di San Giovanni (celebration of St. John the Baptist)!

The city commemorates St. John with a procession winding through the main streets of Florence with music and costumes in making it a wonderful and lively atmosphere. Later in the day, the Calcio Storico match commences in Piazza Santo Croce where the local teams of Santa Maria Novella and Santa Croce will compete in a football match.

Then, the day finishes off with a spectacle of fireworks shoot off from Piazzale Michelangelo making a beautiful evening full of colour and celebration! 🎆
