আইটি খাতে ২০ লাখ তরুণ-তরুণীর কর্মসংস্থান হবে
তথ্য ও যোগাযোগ প্রযুক্তি প্রতিমন্ত্রী জুনাইদ আহমেদপলক বলেছেন, দেশের তরুণদের তথ্য-প্রযুক্তিতে (আইটি) প্রশিক্ষণ দিয়ে কর্মসংস্থানের সুযোগ তৈরির উদ্যোগ নিয়েছে সরকার। আইটি খাতে ২০২১ সাল নাগাদ ২০ লাখ তরুণ-তরুণীর কর্মসংস্থানের সুযোগ সৃষ্টি হবে। দেশের তরুণদের কাজে লাগাতে পারলে এসময়ের মধ্যে আইটি পণ্য রফতানি করে পাঁচশ’ কোটি ডলার আয়ও করা সম্ভব হবে।রোববার সকালে সিলেটের কোম্পানীগঞ্জে দেশের প্রথম ইলেকট্রনিকস সিটিতে আইটি বিজনেস সেন্টারের ভিত্তিপ্রস্তর স্থাপনকালে প্রতিমন্ত্রী এসব কথা বলেন। একই সময়ে তিনি পার্কের সংযোগ সড়কে একটি ক্যাবল (ঝুলন্ত) সেতু নির্মাণেরও ভিত্তিপ্রস্তর স্থাপন করেন।সংশ্লিষ্ট কর্মকর্তারা জানান, ৩১ হাজার দুইশ’ স্কয়ার ফুটের আইটি বিজনেস সেন্টার নির্মাণে ১৫ কোটি ৯১ লাখ ৮১ হাজার টাকা ব্যয় হবে। চলতি বছরের ডিসেম্বরের মধ্যে এটির নির্মাণ কাজ শেষ হবে।সিলেট ইলেকট্রনিক সিটি নামে কোম্পানীগঞ্জ উপজেলার বর্ণি এলাকায় ১৬২ দশমিক ৮৩ একর জায়গায় হাই-টেক পার্ক নির্মাণের উদ্যোগ নেয় সরকার। জমি অধিগ্রহণসহ এ প্রকল্পে ৩৭৪ কোটি টাকা ব্যয় ধরা হয়েছে।প্রতিমন্ত্রী বলেন, চলতি বছরের মধ্যে হাই-টেক পার্ক সিলেট ইলেকট্রনিকস সিটির বেশ কিছু ভবন নির্মাণ হবে। ২০১৯ সালের মধ্যে পুরোপুরি তৈরি হয়ে যাবে। এটি চালু হলে জ্ঞানভিত্তিক শিল্প বিকাশের মাধ্যমে ২০৩০ সালের মধ্যে ৫০ হাজার তরুণ-তরুণীর কর্মসংস্থান হবে। এজন্য স্থানীয় তরুণদের প্রশিক্ষণের মাধ্যমে প্রস্তুত করা হবে বলে জানান তিনি।সিলেট হাই-টেক পার্কে হার্ডওয়্যার উৎপাদনকে বেশি গুরুত্ব দেয়া হবে জানিয়ে মন্ত্রী বলেন, ল্যাপটপ, মোবাইল তৈরিসহ ডিজিটাল ডিভাইস উৎপাদনে বিনিয়োগকারিদের উৎসাহিত করা হবে। পাশাপাশি সফটওয়্যার ডেভেলপমেন্ট, সফটওয়্যার রফতানি হবে।গত বছরের ৮ মার্চ জাতীয় অর্থনৈতিক পরিষদের নির্বাহী কমিটি (একনেক) এ প্রকল্পটি অনুমোদন করে।ভিত্তিপ্রস্তর স্থাপন অনুষ্ঠানে ডাক, টেলিযোগাযোগ ও তথ্যপ্রযুক্তি মন্ত্রণালয় সম্পর্কিত সংসদীয় স্থায়ী কমিটির সভাপতি ইমরান আহমদ, বাংলাদেশ হাই-টেক পার্ক কর্তৃপক্ষের ব্যবস্থাপনা পরিচালক (সচিব) হোসনে আরা বেগম, সিলেট ইলেকট্রনিকস সিটি প্রকল্পের পরিচালক ব্যরিস্টার মো. গোলাম সরওয়ার ভূঁইয়া, সিলেটের অতিরিক্ত জেলা প্রশাসক (রাজস্ব) সৈয়দ আমিনুর রহমান প্রমুখ উপস্থিত ছিলেন।
