You can find it in the Church of the Santa Maria Glorioso dei Frari in Venice. Measuring over 22 feet tall, it is said to be the tallest piece of art in Venice. When It's Too Hot in the City, We Head to the Sea!
This time we picked a small seaside village that is around two hours by train from Florence. Going during the week allows for fewer crowds on the trains and in the villages. Castliglioncello was a perfect escape.
I see now why Italians adore the Mediterranean Sea Pines that line the Tuscan coast. They provide much needed shade with awesome views of the sea.
