I know It seems like I have been talking about Alaska a lot but that is because I have clients traveling there just about every week this summer. Many are sailing and adding on a land tour. If you go all that way, you might as well add on a few days in Denali. It is 100% worth it. I love recommending Holland America but there are many other options that can fit you and your family's needs. Finding options for 2024 is a challenge since the season is part way over but now's the time to book for 2025.

My clients are off to St Lucia for a wonderful honeymoon. There were two resorts they loved, so I suggested splitting the week up between the two resorts: Sandals Halcyon and Sandals Regency La Toc. They are also splurging on the Sunset Bluff Honeymoon Oceanfront One Bedroom Butler Villa Suite with Private Pool for the last part of their stay. Did you know you could split your stay like this? Many of my clients like to split their resort stay up like this.

Pro tip: always book the most luxurious room as the last part of your stay so it feels like an upgrade.

It is Visas and Vistas Travel six year anniversary!!

In 2018, I decided to turn my passion of travel into a business. I worked for the first 6 months of 2018 figuring out how to do that. In June 2018, I quit my job and opened my own travel agency. I haven't looked back since and don't miss the corporate world at all.

My clients are off to one of my favorite resorts in Mexico: Haven Riviera Cancun. This resort has some great swim up rooms. My clients will be in a Serenity Club Junior Suite Swim-Out Ocean Front Room. They will have fabulous views right from their own pool. I hope they enjoy their time away relaxing in Mexico.

Traveling with children is one of the best things a family can do together. My clients are in Costa Rica on a pretty exciting adventure. They are hiking in Manuel Antonio National Park, visiting the Cloud Forest in Monteverde, taking a coffee and chocolate tour, visiting the hot springs, hiking a volcano, and river rafting in Arenal. These children will remember this trip for a lifetime.

The Alaska season has officially begun! Alaska land and cruise tours and Alaska cruise only tours are at the top of my clients lists. Most of these land tours will include Fairbanks, AK, Denali, Anchorage, and will cruise to Glacier Bay, Juneau, Ketchikan, and Skagway. I have clients in Alaska just about every week this season. Now is the time to start planning a 2025 Alaska cruise.

My client is headed to the French Open but first they are going to have a European adventure along the way. They will be starting in Athens, Greece for some Greek Mythology. Then head to Naples, Italy to visit Pompeii. Then off to Paris for the sites and French Open. This will be a trip to remember.

I'm back in the office today trying to play catch up. I will be responding to all emails today and tomorrow.

While you wait, here is how I spent my last day in Brazil. I did a full city tour and visited Christ the Redeemer, took the cable car up to Sugar Loaf Mountain, walked up the Selaron Staircase, and visited the old town of St. Theresa. I then capped the night off with some samba music at Bar Carioca da Gema in Lapa. It was a whirlwind of a day!!

I spent the last two days exploring Ilha Grande. I hiked, beach hopped, snorkeled in the Blue Lagoon (pics to come soon), boated, and ate some fabulous seafood.

My trip is coming to an end with my last days spent in Rio de Janerio and my 6th world wonder!

I am staying at the cutest bed and breakfast on Ilha Grande island. This island is full trails, beaches, and wildlife. The island is only accessible by ferry and has no cars. It's beautiful.

Yesterday I spent the day in the historical town of Paraty! It used to be on the gold trail and a popular port town for coffee. Now it's known for tourism and cachaca alcohol. Fun fact, the caipirinha drink (made with cachaca) was originally used as a "medicine" to cure cholera.
