🌍✨ Just wrapped up an amazing tour in San Sebastián, and we’re thrilled to share these mouthwatering pinchos with you! 🍢

Did you know that pinchos originated in the Basque Country, with roots tracing back to the early 20th century? Traditionally, these delightful bites were served on skewers—hence the name “pincho,” which means “to pierce” in Spanish. Over the years, they’ve evolved into a vibrant culinary art form, with each bar boasting its own creative twists and flavors.

A huge thanks to our incredible guide, Emma, whose passion for local cuisine brought each stop to life. From vibrant bars to hidden culinary gems, every bite was a taste of Basque culture.

The Hotel de Pavie was once a convent where nuns offered shelter and protection to pilgrims and travelers…

the revolution, the building became a coaching inn. Its next life was as an inn, and then a hotel restaurant. In 1927 it was christened Hostellerie de Plaisance. Post-World War Two, the place was used as an inn and dance hall.

Villagers gathered on the terrace to dance and meet. The guinguette closed its doors in the 1960s to make way for a hotel restaurant.

The P***e Family became the hosts of this renowned House in 2001.
