Elemental Force is a series of free spectacular large-scale outdoor shows which put historic buildings centre stage and use light, sound and film to celebrate the rich heritage of Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire. Building on the themes that made the Opening Ceremony of London 2012 Olympic Games so memorable, these events in February and March 2013 will capture the drama and excitement of the region

’s past, present and future. Some of the area’s most significant historic buildings have been chosen as the backdrop for these events. The stories of these sites will be brought to life by some of the country’s leading outdoor artists in a way that audiences have never seen before, using a combination of giant digital projections with stunning visual special effects and pyrotechnics.
