This year for Earth day we are highlighting our commitment to supporting our local communities and recycling. 🌍

We have recently completed a donation to local charities comprising of clothes, jackets, shoes and other items collected at our Reuse Hub, with the collection totalling 44kg. ♻️

We have consistently donated clothes over the past year to charities that need them and are commited to continuing our efforts to give back to our community.

The past year we have been regularly making donations to multiple charities in Edinburgh and we can't wait to continue supporting our ESG Communities!
🤝 Over the year we have donated to charities almost 500kg of donations!!!
This is amazing, congratulations to everyone for donating at our Reuse Hub (which you're also free to use!) and our Housekeeping team for making sure any items left could be re-loved by staff and charities through our Reuse Hub!

Through Travel with Purpose, we seek to create positive environmental and social impact across our operations, supply chain, and communities.

Today marks the beginning of Scottish Apprenticeship Week, highlighting how the benefits of work-based learning can assist in unlocking employee potential across Scotland.

Meet Leo 👋 our Front of House Apprentice here at Waldorf Astoria Edinburgh - The Caledonian. Since joining us at the Caley, Leo feels that he has developed most in his understanding and knowledge for our daily hotel operations and departments. Working in our Front of House departments, Leo values having the opportunity to meet people from all walks of life, thriving on guest interaction and the fast-paced environment that our hotel provides. He feels that no day is truly the same, and this offers a unique opportunity to challenge himself and learn.

This Month at the Caley, we’ve been celebrating ! Say hello to two members of our amazing Housekeeping Team at
, Cissa and Sophie 👋

First, meet Sophie, one of our hard-working Housekeeping Assistants, who joined our team 11 months ago. A Scottish local, Sophie enjoys spending her spare time swimming, baking and embarking on day trips with her daughter to explore Scotland! Since joining our team, Sophie has grown to love the sense of community that her team shares here at the Caley.

Next up we have Cissa, our incredible Lead Room Attendant who joined our team at Waldorf Astoria Edinburgh 6 years ago, after moving to Scotland from her home in Portugal. Cissa’s favourite part about her time at Caley Team? She loves working with our Housekeeping Team and the different opportunities that she has been given to grow within her position. In her spare time, Cissa always enjoys spending her time at the gym!
