🐾 Meet Lennie and Bailey.
They’ve kept a low profile on our first retreats but thanks to their impeccable behaviour, affable personalities and longing looks of love and adoration, we’re letting them hang out a bit more with us in future.

🐾 So far our guests have overwhelmingly voted for them to be on hand for a big dose of gorgeous canine affection that is aways so appreciated.

🐾 All they need is a tummy tickle and an ear rub in return. What’s not to love? Welcome to the team Lennie and Bailey 🥰

🎿 Glorious ski conditions for our Girl Powder Retreaters today…

🎿 Three groups have gone out today, each with their own guide - from total beginner, to intermediate, and more advanced. This means everyone gets to ski at their individual level with some guidance and instruction for them to improve and make the most of their trip.

🍽️ We will regroup on the mountain for lunch and then our skiers can decide if they’d like more ski this afternoon or if they’d prefer to return to for some luxury spa and sauna relaxation 🙌

🥞 In France we have two pancake days - of course, why wouldn’t we?

🥞 The first is on 2nd Feb which is the celebration of La Chandeleur or Candlemas.
Some say La Chandeleur originated in pagan times and that it celebrates the return of the sun after the dark January days. Another theory is that it started when people made crêpes to use up old flour from the previous year’s harvest.

🥞 Today it’s the second celebration in France and around the world - Shrove Tuesday or Mardi Gras - which literally translates as Fat Tuesday 😬 yes it’s the day when eating up all the fat in the house is totally allowed - all day!

🥞 Anyway, nobody needs an excuse for a good crêpe whatever day it is. No talk here of giving anything up for lent 😳

We like ours stacked high with banana and maple syrup - versions of which can be found in any reputable café in France - and can also be rustled up on a Girl Powder Retreat if you so desire 🥞

Perfectly situated in Les Bois village in the Chamonix valley, our luxury chalet just 500m from la Flégère lift station - perfect for access to the pistes for those who ski.

For those who prefer not to ski, Chalet Mélèzes has all the space for private yoga and Pilates lessons.

If it’s not for you, we have a whole programme of non-ski activities for your wellness and wellbeing, on and off the mountains.
