A message to our Yoga Family regarding Asana Studio permanently closing.
We have been missing you! We are so grateful to all of you for your support regarding closing the studio, going online and navigating this time Together. We appreciate your patience as we have taken all precautions to follow guidelines to keep everyone safe. I have mindfully made decisions to protect the future of our yoga home by seeking out loans and assistance. This pandemic is a nightmare for small businesses including yoga studios. The plight of yoga studios during this time cannot be understated with the loss of so many prominent studios over the last few months. It has been too great of a challenge to survive through the pandemic.
In a time of uncertainty, one thing is certain: everything has a beginning and an end. The pandemic has provided us all a lens with which we have been able to examine our lives. With this unprecedented time, shifting expectations and plans, I made the decision to find a new owner for Asana with the intention to find someone to continue the vision with love and support for our yoga community. It was my hope that someone was able to purchase the business so our Asana community could continue to thrive. Unfortunately, I have had several interested buyers, yet none able to take the leap of faith during this precarious time. With that said, I am closing Asana permanently and with this great loss have no choice but to sell everything.
It has been such a blessing that Asana has been our yoga home for 16 glorious years. We are honored to have served our community in supporting you to breathe, opening your hearts and minds to the practice of yoga where we experienced growth and healing on the journey that we share Together. We have celebrated yoga with the most wonderful classes, workshops, yoga teacher trainings, self-care and community gatherings led by the best teachers that we will cherish. Offering our presence in Golden and Arvada, it has truly been a gift to breathe with yogis from 7 days old in the Baby and Me class and the youngest at heart at 92 years young in our Accessible Yoga Class. It has been a privilege to have provided support to our community, neighbors, and various organizations while creating local and national partnerships to bring more yoga and healing to the world. We have shared hugs, smiles, laughter, tears, breakthroughs, loss, the sweetest and darkest of life's moments Together. We are deeply humbled by the honor it has been to be a witness and hold space for you on your path. Words cannot express the gratitude that is felt for the memories we've created at Asana Together.
We are grateful to each of you as you are not only students, but also our teachers. I have an abundance of gratitude for our Amazing teachers for sharing their gifts and hearts with Asana. These incredibly talented teachers are listening to the call to teach or follow their hearts in other directions that will serve them and others. We will be posting on social media and updating their website bios where you can find them to maintain our deep Connections. Our bond and the Love we share reaches beyond four walls of a studio. Our Connection is infinite.
We wish to celebrate this bond and our Connection by hosting a Farewell Celebration on August 2nd where you can safely enter the studio as an open house. All Asana retail, props and other items will be offered for purchase. We welcome you to purchase these items to have a piece of Asana to take with you. We will be sharing more information with details regarding the event and items for purchase later this week.
The practice of yoga unites us. Whatever the reason you began your yoga journey and joined our Asana community we are blessed we were brought Together. It brings us comfort knowing that we have our yoga practice and tools to support us along our way during these uncertain times. This year has shown us how to be flexible in our minds and how the universe laughs at our plans. This experience is revealing an opportunity for us to dive deeply into our practice of non-attachment, surrender and letting go. This end is a new beginning.
