Hula Valley Bird Migration

The bird migration is in full swing. It's a great time to stay in Tsfat and take a day trip to the Hula Valley. Apparently the birds haven't had any travel restricitons during COVID.

Perfect time to forage for capers around Tsfat. Collect unopened buds (not too many from any one bush), soak in water for five days changing the water each day, and then put in a vinegar and salt brine - ready to eat three days later. I love ‘em in a home made puttanesca sauce. Yummy!

It's a great time to come to Tsfat!

Tourism is back!

According to the city, tzimmers in Tzfat were at 90% capacity for the last three weeks, and are expected to reach 100% in the coming weeks.

This is particularly welcome news considering that there are no international tourists due to Covid-19.
The city has been aggressively pursuing online visitor engagement with its new interactive website.

The city is becoming a destination for weddings, bar mitzvahs and other simchot, and it should benefit struggling local businesses. Tour guides, photographers, eateries and local artists are already benefitting.

The municipality should be making an announcement about summer festivals in the coming days.
