Hey Friends and Fellow Hosts:
You may know that Rob and I are in the process of completing renovations at the Gullhouse to make it more accessible. I am so appreciative of the long hours that Rob has put in to create this new, more comfortable space for our guests and ultimately ourselves as we age. Some of you may also know that I sit on an advisory board for Becoming rentABLE who is taking on the daunting task of creating a platform for short term rental hosts to certify the acceptable accessible amenities of their listings. Our Story

The Hosting Your Home group is intended to offer a platform of support and conversation about hosting styles, needs and information. We will also post episodes of our podcast of the same name here.

Rob and I are vacation rental owners and recently downsized from 4 Oregon rentals to 2 properties. Most, but not all of our podcast interviewees are from our local Portland area. Sometimes I’m fortunate to tape a discussion with an industry thought leader or head of one of the businesses that support our industry. As everything gets better with age (including us!) the Hosting Your Home Podcast seems to be improving in quality and scope. We are avid supporters of the Sharing Economy, we love sharing our homes and our stories with you.

Host2Host.org is a nonprofit trade association that we have co-founded with some friends of ours here in Portland and we are very, very busy with our local host community, planning meetups, conferences and trade fairs.
