Dear Friends and Artists of Artrvl,
The idea of bringing artists together from background that had or are still having conflicts came the incident between Hamas and Israel last October, while the war between Ukraine and Russia last more than a year already. It is with a heavy heart that we initiated TWOCAT Inner peace Art Program.
During many interviews with artists, we found out that most artists were directly and indirectly affected by the wars and conflicts, even those who live in a politically neutral countries have conflicts internally, but there is a silver lining: our creators community.
While some of us found inner peace through love, truth, others still are looking for new ways and new inspirations, some of our artists were forced out of this project because of social pressure, therefore, we are more eager to bring this art program to live, we will continue making TWOCAT program until no wars, no conflicts are existent.
The funds, a safe and welcoming location to install all the art is a beacon of hope, dedicated to rewarding artists, and encouraging more artists to step out of comfort zone, co-create and find inner peace, we believe artists are super heroes, Each collaboration of art symbolizes a step towards healing and renewal, bringing love back to our precious heart. Your contributions will help us restore peace in humanity, turning conflicts into inner peace and repression into rebirth.

Artrvl initiates TWOCAT Inner Peace art program, inviting artists from background/country of origin that had/are having conflicts with another country to join forces.

Co-creating art and co-hosting workshop in all art disciplines, expressing peace, love, forgiveness (forgive ourselves and others, and ask for forgiveness), explore each other's beautiful culture, background, individual experiences, each other's communities, all into collaborative art.

Not only our art, our successful and creative collaboration, our self transformation, our own inner peace-making stories, as well as interactions with communities will inspire us all for the greater change.

Artrvl and the U.S. Consulate General Guangzhou proudly present the fourth edition of the Vision Board art project, themed "Empowering Minds to Shape the Future."

This initiative draws inspiration from those who, despite obstacles, actively promote positive knowledge-sharing and cross-cultural dialogue.

Our aim is not only to celebrate cultural exchange and creativity but also to underscore the pivotal role of comprehensive education in global progress.

Empowering minds entails exploring the unknown, challenging norms, and transcending borders in pursuit of knowledge.

We extend an invitation to American and Chinese artists to collaborate, symbolizing the unity and mutual understanding fostered by cultural exchange, envisioning a future enriched by shared knowledge and experiences.

We're more than excited to announce two winning art pieces!

Friendship In The Flow, by American artist Yaya Nara and Chinese artist Mioyo Zhou.

The world is a garden where everyone can bloom, by American artist Laura Gomez and Chinese artist Jiami Liang.

We will be interviewing the 4 winning artists to learn more about their interesting moments and stories behind the creation of everyone's works in the cross-cultural creative process. If you have curious questions, please leave us a comment and we will ask the artists.

On/around January 27th, 2024, the chosen artworks will be shown to the public at the U.S. Consulate General in Guangzhou. The two artworks will be displayed as public art installations on two giant walls of the U.S. Consulate in the city center.

On October 15, 2023, the U.S. Consulate General Guangzhou and Artrvl launched an open call for artists from the United States and China to create artworks to portray a better future with positive Inclusivity and Accessibility. By the evening of November 27, 2023, we received many impressive and diverse collaborative artwork submissions from teams of artists from both countries.

The following are qualified submissions and the related backstory from the artists about their inspiration. We encourage audiences to guess which two pieces of artwork will be chosen by U.S. Consulate General Guangzhou for two huge installations on their public-facing walls. Which artwork do you think best reflects the concept of Inspire an Inclusive Future, is visually pleasing, fits the surrounding landscape, and has an enticing backstory?

* Please note, the public guessing result will not decide the outcome!

Artrvl and the U.S. Consulate General Guangzhou are proud to present the third edition of the Vision Board art project. Get inspired by the ongoing efforts of those who ensure each one of us feel included and valued and those who fight tirelessly to break down barriers despite of our differences (national origin, language, race, color, disability, ethnicity, gender, age, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, socioeconomic status, veteran status, and family structures).

We are asking artists from the U.S. and China to work as a team to portray a positive future of inclusivity and accessibility.
