In the Autumn of 2014 Rooted in Recovery came to be during a conversation with it’s founding members, Mark Filo, Paul Booth and Rocky Montesano, who collectively have 75 years of recovery. While sitting in a cafe in Belfountain, Ontario, amidst the beautiful Caledon HIlls, a discussion ensued. The talk revolved around how grateful they have become for their peaceful lives, on how their present li

ves are rooted in their personal journeys of recovery. The question came up on how they could carry this message of change and potential for a bountiful life, to as many as possible. How change is not just about the physical self. True recovery takes into account the physical,mental, emotional and spiritual well-being. That with awareness, direction and support all in life is achievable. The message became clear that they all felt compelled to create Rooted in Recovery with the goal of sharing their accumulated hope and experience.
