A safe and adequate water supply is of critical importance. Here is an excellent discussion with specific ideas. I have even been thinking about the one that suggests using a new "old fashioned" push, reel mower!

Once we had 2 billion tires scattered around the U.S. landscape, but now 90 percent of the piles are gone. Ground rubber from tires is becoming roadways, playground equipment and auto floor mats.

The Village Park Eco Home kitchen won the Best Kitchen under $1 Million in the Dallas Builders Association ARC Awards. Congratulations to the team, supporters, and sponsors! We were also finalist in the Best Green Built Home under $1 Million, Best Website, and Best Master Suite. Earlier we told you about our Interior Designers, Barbara Gilbert and Amy Guess, Barbara Gilbert Interiors, winning two ASID awards for their contribution to our house: 1st place in the Contemporary Residence over 3500 sq. ft. and 2nd place for Unique Spaces for our office/study.

WOO HOO! Congratulations to our Interior Designers Barbara Gilbert and Amy Guess, Barbara Gilbert Interiors! Wednesday evening they received four special ASID 2014 Legacy of Design Awards (state competition). Two of the awards were for our project, the Village Park Eco Home. They won 1st place for Contemporary residence over 3500 sq. ft. and 2nd place for Unique Spaces for our office. The also won for two other projects: 1st place for traditional living rooms and 1st place for contemporary living rooms. We are so proud for you and so happy that your award-winning team was a member of our team and a part of this project. Thank you!
