The contemporary hill country home fits comfortably across the street from its namesake, Village Park. The home is net zero-energy ready utilizing building science practices to achieve a high-performance home with minimal impact on the environment. It is certified Green Built Texas, Energy Star Version 3, DOE Challenge Home (now called DOE Net Zero-Energy, and EPA Indoor AirPLUS. Awards include:

2014 ASID Legacy in Design Awards to our Interior Designers Barbara Gilbert and Amy Guess, Barbara Gilbert Interiors including first place for Contemporary Residence over 3,500 sq. feet and 2nd place for Office Space. It also won the Dallas Builders Association ARC Award for Best Kitchen under $1 Million and was an ARC finalist in the Best Green Built Home under $1 Million, Best Master Suite, and Best Website categories. Upon completion in May, 2014 the Village Park Eco Home hosted weekend consumer open house and tour events. Additionally multiple trade educational events and tours were hosted. During construction videos were made to show consumers and builders how principles of Building Science are utilized.
