Following on from our very successful Runamuck Fundraising night on 10th October the real fun was about to begin……

October 17th was finally upon us, yes D-Day had arrived and it was time for 17 brave parents to take on the Runamuck Challenge and take it on we did!! All 17 of us were kitted out in our tight lycras and some of us had our runners securely wrapped in Duct Tape to make sure there was no chance of leaving them behind in the muddy trenches.

The clock struck 12.30 and it was take off for Wave 18 THE LUCAN MUCKERS. The challenge started with everyone smiling and it finished with everyone laughing! We pulled each other over slippy hay bales, scrambled under nets, swung like tarzan across trenches and slid down the super slides into a mud bath. Sound like fun? Well it was great fun…. The ditches, the streams with drops and pot holes you really could go down at anytime, the tyres and tunnels the LUCAN MUCKERS took it all on.

THE LUCAN MUCKERS were Maggie Mulqueen, Sara Hickey, Elaine Kelly, Eileen Cregg, Laura McGrath, Sinead Dunne, Sharon Clarke, Ciara Sheridan, Siobhan Nolan, Caroline Gallagher, Isabel Collins, Brenda Mulligan, Marian O’Shea, Sharon Galligan, Nicole Ryan, Carmel Reid and Ann Reid.

On behalf of myself Sara Hickey and Elaine Kelly we would like to thank all the 2007 parents and their friends who participated in this Fundraising Runamuck Challenge and a great big thanks to the support of the 2004 Boys parents who also took on the challenge with us.

What a great way to end our 2015 Runamuck Fundraiser!!! Bring on the 10K in 2016…….. How brave are you!

Big thank you to the 22 Mamamias who turned out on Monday night in Lucan Sarsfield for our second come and try night. Great session and enjoyed by all. We hope to see you all Monday week as there will be no training next Monday as the following day is Paddy's.
