in a morning stretching class on the sundeck while gently sailing past centuries-old castles? Or hike through a vineyard set on rolling hills, to enjoy a tasting with the winemaker? Perhaps you’d like to wind through the 48 hairpin turns on your road bike, as you climb up the famous Passo dello Stelvio. Whether you just want to exercise enough to work off your seven-course farm-to-table dinner or go full gas to rack up PRs, there’s a European vacation option that’s perfect for you. From fitness and activity levels to the right vacation provider to maximizing your budget, my expertise and knowledge help you sort through the choices. I can offer ideas and options you might not have even heard of, but which will enhance your experience. No more losing sleep worrying that you haven’t covered all the bases. You have me...and I’ve got you! I take care of making sure that everything from the flights and transfers, to the cruise check-in or bike fit is covered. You just pack your bags and have a complete set of details provided for you, so that you’re fully prepared to enjoy a vacation that's well-planned and organized with plenty of room for spontaneous discoveries down that road less traveled (or ridden!). While other friends are sad about the football season ending, I'm getting excited about the cycling season getting rolling (see what I did there?). While my bike riding skill level is a solid "Coffee Shop 1", my abilities to enjoy watching a race in person are getting better every year. I'm happy to give you my tips, and help you book the elements that will make yours a fantastic trip! Mention "Tour de France", and most people probably know it's a bike race. They'll probably mention Lance Armstrong because he's the only name they know. But you and I -- our ears perk up at the mention of other names, like Froome, Nibali, Dumoulin, Contador, Van Aert. Or we start salivating at the idea of seeing the Stelvio, Alpe d'Huez, or Champs-Élysées in person. It's not as tricky as you'd think. Whether you want to just see one stage in person, follow a whole race, or even ride some (or all!) of a stage race before the pros do, it's totally do-able, and I can help you get there. Beginning with my experience in following the USA Pro Challenge as it toured Colorado from 2011-2016, I was hooked. We learned where our best shot at meeting the riders was, what to do about trying to get musettes, and what's worth paying for (and what's not). We decided to go follow the 100th Tour de France in 2013, and then followed a couple weeks of the 100th Giro d'Italia in 2017. Paris-Nice, Paris-Roubaix, and several editions of the World Championships are also on our palmarès. You can go as a spectator, or you can ride the route. You can view one stage of a race, or follow the whoooole thing.
