Hi, Friends! I found this article today and I had to share. We are very proud of Josh for all his hard work on ResortTV1 and really glad that he enjoys it. He's doing so much it's sometimes easy to forget that he has a day job. We are really blessed that he is now at one of the best schools in Orlando now, but he's only been here a few short years. Before that he spent 17 years in public schools teaching band and music. Shortly after our son was born, Josh was working on his masters and we were very, very tight on cashflow when he had the idea to put up some home movies on this site called YouTube to see if others found it interesting and it's grown to what we can enjoy together today.
This article sheds a light on the plight of the public schools and teacher pay. Most of the teachers I know do not go into teaching for the money, they do it for the love of the subject and the joy of sharing learning with children, but it often comes at a sacrifice of income for their families. Florida was 48/51 in teacher pay in 2022, now with cost of living increase here we have dropped to 50/51 in teacher pay for 2023. But overall, with our 3% increase in pay we managed to be 32/51 (we will call this average) in the rank of change at all. When an average increase still leaves you at the bottom of the pack, it's time for more change.

20 years ago I went to see the new-to-me band at a small club in Indy with my best galpal. Their music has been lifting me through the ups and downs of the last 20 years. It seems like they always know what I need to fuel my soul and my days and they always have a new album just when I need it. Now 20 years later, they are still cranking out new, innovative and entertaining music that I can share with my 7yo and he can love it too.
After a week of studying the blessings and curses of Elvis Presley and how hard it is to live life on the go. I think I have a better appreciation for the struggles of life on the road. These guys are still performing because they love bringing joy and music to the world. The world is so blessed to have their music and I’m so thankful for their legacy of unique and innovative art!
