If you've ever found yourself scrolling through Instagram and all can you see is rows and rows of 'perfect' photos of people travelling well don't worry, because that's definitely not what you're going to find here.I'm a true believer that life is what you make it and although I don't always have the best luck while travelling, it's the thing that fills me with joy. With lots of mistakes, mishaps

and chaotic stories behind me, I thought here was the perfect place to share my stories (along with everything I've picked up along the way). You’re probably wondering why you should be taking advice from someone who seems to come across carnage and chaos every time she travels, right? Well, it’s because no matter the situation, things always work out for the best! I used to put so much pressure on travel being perfect that every little mistake would turn my world upside down but now, I embrace the mishaps and turn them into my own little adventures! I was intending to rest today before my flight home but I got very excited about the fact I was in a new country and took advantage of the free time I had to explore! It was only a few hours, but I have fallen in love with Kuala Lumpur already! Now I know I have to come back 🥰

Ad ✨ as I’m starting to plan my 2024 travels, I keep thinking back to my favourite trips of the year and of course, my cruise around the Mediterranean was DEFINITELY one of them. Dreaming of being back on a Royal Caribbean cruise ship next year for sure ❤️🥰🚢

I can’t believe my month in Bali is nearly over. I’m feeling incredibly lucky to have spent the four weeks with some incredible people in a place I come to love more and more with every visit. I’ve been reminded why I do what I do every single day and honestly, I’m sad my 2023 trips are officially coming to an end in just a few days ❤️🇮🇩

One of the lessons years of travel taught me is that things don’t always go to plan👇🏻

You can make the world’s best spreadsheet with timings, locations and plans all laid out but no matter what you do, things will never work out exactly how you plan them to. I love an itinerary but have I ever managed to stick to one 1000%? Absolutely not 👀

For me, this was hard to accept at first. From a young age I would bug my mum and dad on holiday, constantly asking them “where are we going now? What are we doing after that? Where are we going tomorrow?” and so being able to plan my own travel and still feel like I wasn’t in control was definitely a little frustrating. I wanted to be in control of every little plan but no matter how much I tried, something would always get in the way.

90% of the time, that thing was always out of my control.

Over time (A LOT of time) I started to accept that travel is something you can’t possibly predict and even though you may have the best laid plans, things will change. Our US road trip plans, for example, changed almost daily and although I missed some things that I really wanted to see, the changes also meant I got to do things I hadn’t even planned for! (Driving over the Golden Gate Bridge, for example, was never going to happen because we weren’t going to have the car in San Francisco. That ended up being one of my favourite memories from the trip, too 🌁)

More and more I see the unpredictability of travel as something to embrace, rather than something to fear and I think that’s pretty cool 🥰❤️ by

I realised I have A LOT of Bali pictures from recent trips that I haven’t shared yet, so here’s a little photo dump 📸❤️

1) one of my favourite things to do in Bali is the sunrise Jeep tour! I’ve done it three times now and I don’t think I’ll ever tire of it! This photo was the first time I did it with 🌋

2) Sitting on the steps at the stunning Tirta Gangga - the water palace.

3) Outside our treehouse at Le Sabot in Ubud. This place was absolutely unreal to stay at!

4) One of many visits to Tirta Empul, the holy water temple.

5) When accidental breakfast turned into one of the most stunning views ever! We couldn’t get into the original place we planned so ended up at Tis Cafe, but this was the view! So gorgeous 🥺🥺

6) More Tirta Gangga - this is one of my favourite places in Bali ❤️

7) Pizza in bed at the Cali Villas in Canggu. This place was an influencers dream, I swear 😂

Ad ✨ On board the beautiful Stella Maris with Discover More packages ❤️

I’ve been to Croatia many times in the past and it fast became one of my favourite places in the world but with every trip back, my desire to travel the country by boat got stronger and stronger. With so many incredible islands and ports to explore, I’ve always felt like it’s the best way to explore everything the country has to offer.

Finally, thanks for Jet2holidays Discover More packages, I was finally able to tick the bucket list item off my list!

On board Stella Maris, for example, all we had to think about was lots and lots of island-hopping, swim stops in the beautiful Adriatic Sea and all the delicious food we were served on board 🤤❤️

gifted ✨people often say to me ‘I wish I had your confidence’ but honestly, I’m still very much on my journey. I’ve definitely come a long way in the last few years, but this was my first time wearing bikini bottoms that aren’t full coverage and that showed a little bit of belly overhang. I felt good, but wasn’t quite brave enough to wear them outside of the room. Baby steps, am I right? 👀👙

After a petition went viral, I was asked to share my experiences of what it’s like to be a plus size travel expert online, speaking out about the hate I’ve received when opening up about the difficulties fat people can face when travelling.

AD ✨ Formal Night magic on Regal Princess 🚢💃🏻

I think it was VERY obvious what dress I was going to choose for formal night and I am SO glad I did because I felt absolutely amazing! 🥺🥺

Princess Cruises certainly know how to put on a good party, too. I loved celebrating with the famous Champange Waterfall, watching all of the amazing entertainment around the ship and seeing everyone dressed up and having fun 🥂🎉

Currently sat at the airport heading home after the most incredible time exploring Singapore ❤️

I thought two days at the end of my Bali trip would be a great chance to get a taster of the city and, honestly, I’m so glad I did because I quickly learned that I need so much more time here to explore! 🇸🇬

Bali is definitely making me a morning person 🌄❤️

I’ve always wanted to see the sunrise from Mount Batur but honestly, the early morning hike terrified me.

I need to be able to walk at my own pace so the pressure of missing the sunrise if I didn’t make it on time would have definitely dampened my mood a little.

I’d resigned myself to the fact that it was something I’d never get to do because I’d only ever seen people talk about hiking up, but it wasn’t until I started looking into activities in Bali that I spotted I could get a jeep to a viewpoint 1200ft up and right near the top of the Volcano.

Not only was it an easier way to watch the sun rise above the clouds, but it was such a fun experience! The ride was super thrilling and bumpy and as we made our way up the volcano, our driver was sharing so much incredible information with us.

It was the perfect morning and honestly, one I’ll never forget! ❤️🥰

ad press trip ✨ I’d never visited Turkiye before and so I had no idea what to expect - turns out Marmaris is exactly my kind of place! Lots of amazing adventures, stunning beaches and turquoise waters and of course, amazing food and drinks 🤤🍹

Of course, that was all made 100 x better travelling with 🥳

This photo was from our first full day in Marmaris and honestly, I think it was my favourite! We booked ourselves a Jeep excursion that turned into a massive water fight with everyone around us and honestly, it was exactly what I expected from a package holiday that promise lots of good times and positive vibes 👀

Have you every booked with before? From the plus size friendly flight and incredible hotel to the amazing activities and perfect location, I’ll 100% be booking with them time and time again 🥰❤️🇹🇷

ad press trip ✨ boats, beaches and beautiful views ☀️

I really want to talk about these photos because while they may seem like they’re just about the incredible views here in Halkidiki, to me they actually mean so much more.

I’ve always wanted a cliche ‘looking 🔥 on a private boat’ photo but I ruled it out because I no matter how much my confidence grew, I convinced myself that I could. not. pull. it. off.

I told the amazing people I was on the boat with that I wanted to try and snap the classic photo and so worked her magic making me feel comfortable and telling me how to pose. I wasn’t feelin’ myself but I rolled with it and hoped I’d find at least one photo I’d like and could post.

Once we’d got off the boat (and into the shade) I thought I’d check the photos and see how they turned out and oh my gosh, I was in COMPLETE shock. I couldn’t believe it was ME in the photos and I instantly felt so confident in myself. Everything was so perfect from the view behind me to smile as Brogan and make me laugh. I love everything about them and honestly couldn’t choose just one to share ❤️

Here’s to believing in myself more and to looking hot hot hot 🥵
