This house is completely restored but has retained its traditional charm. It is set up like a luxurious personal home, not like a summer beach dorm rental. There are 2 terraces and not a single bad view in the house! It is fully equipped for cooking, including an American-sized refrigerator/freezer. There is closet space and the two bedrooms are large. There is a sofa bed in the living room for a
third couple (where there is a full bath). In the summer there is a 7 meter diameter dipping pool -- perfect for cooling off after the beach. The gardens and fountain create an atmosphere of serene 'dolce vita' with color, scents and soothing sounds as you sip wine and view the gorgeous mountains in your own casale with an olive grove in complete privacy. I have been redecorating so the pretty interior is getting even more lovely! There are 5 acres of property, including the Olive Grove and many fruit trees, a pool and the farmhouse. The Adriatic is approximately 30 minutes away and in the winter you have your choice of a large ski resort that is two hours away or several small ski resorts that are only 40 minutes away. There is a nearby huge national park where you can hike and look at wildflowers. You can drive to Rome in about 2 1/2 hours. There is an international airport in Pescara, which is about 40 minutes away that has direct flights from London and other cities in Europe. You can easily pick up a car rental in Rome and in Pescara. Anacona is where you can catch a ferry to Croatia and it is two hours away by car. There is a large train station in Pescara as well.
