One of these actors took some real training in fi****ms handling and safety from actual fi****ms training professionals and one did not. I'm sure you probably know which is which, but if you don't - please remember DO NOT let Hollywood/movies give you fi****ms training. Leave that to actual fi****ms trainers, like us.

For those that have a CFP, what was your favorite and least favorite thing about your CFP class?

For those that have never taken a CFP class, why not? And do not just say because you don't need a CFP in Utah. While that is true, training is NEVER a bad thing!

We offer our condolences and support to the Betker family as Sweet Zoejane is laid to rest today. It is fitting that it is raining as she danced in the rain. She is an inspiration to so many and is dearly missed but the fight for a cure will go on and we will do whatever we can to support the Betkers and ending DIPG.

Hey everyone! You have seen us posting for ZoeJane's class but if you can't make it to that, perhaps you would like to join us for 2 days of fun and help this way. Ride the Brainwave is a family friendly event starting Friday night and going until Saturday morning. There is literally something for everyone so if you are a 5Ker, biker, UTVer, Jeep-er (? is that what it is haha), have kids or like music, fun and food, you need to be at Brainwave this year!!

This is one of the many reasons that even if you don't like guns, you should have proper training on them if you are going to be around them. This accident was completely preventable had the proper safety precautions been used by everyone involved.

Please make sure that you are properly trained AND that you DO NOT get complacent in your handling of fi****ms - EVER!

Make sure you are always practicing the rules of firearm safety. And remember, It is just as important to teach these rule to your children. Take the curiosity out of it for them and teach them respect for fi****ms. Even if you do not own fi****ms, you should make sure your children know about them and how to be safe around them, should they ever be near them. Also make sure you are properly securing your firearm, while maintaining accessibility, for the safety of your family.

We work on a traveling instructor platform. So what does that mean? It means we come to you!

We can do just about any class at your location (except range portions or training, but we have several ranges we work with for this). If you don't want us to come to you, we have a location in Midvale that we use.

Someone reminded us today that there are only 81 days until Christmas!!! We ONLY do gift certificates for the holidays. You can get certificates for private range training, CFP classes and Basic Pistol classes. We'd love to help you get some of your Christmas shopping out of the way 😉

Also we still have space in November for Concealed Carry and Basic Pistol classes if you'd like a class before the holidays.

If you curious to know what you learn in one of our basic classes, here is just a few things we go over:
-Essential gun safety rules
-Different types of pistols and which one is best for you
-The fundamentals of pistol shooting
-The most common shooting errors
-Proper gun cleaning and maintenance
-How to maintain your skills

There is also some range time included in this class but you do not need to own a own firearm to take this class. Our goal in this class it to make sure you know how to properly and safely hand a pistol and that you know how to choose the right pistol for you.

We have a few seats left in this upcoming class on 10/29. If you'd like to reserve one, please let us know. First come first serve and we limit the class to 5 people.

TIP THURSDAY: Never surprise your significant other with a firearm that you think they will like, unless they have specifically said "that is the gun I want". Never let anyone choose your firearm for you. Often it is not a good fit and if you're going to carry or use it, you want it to be a good fit for you, your needs and your comfort. Basically this is mostly for you men: Let your woman pick out her own gun. Get her what she wants, not what you think she needs or will work for her.

It does work both ways! Example: Steve said he wanted an AR so Jodie got him one....he didn't specify what size 😉😂
