Darwin for all Seasons
All year round Darwin and the Top End provides endless fun and adventure. Explore the national parks, experience the wonder of the rock art in Kakadu and go further afield to the gorges at Nitmiluk. Follow the locals to the fishing haven at Dundee Beach or Crab Claw Island. In the dry season, the cloudless blue skies and reliably no rain makes the Territory the best place on the planet to go out and about. Camp alongside a billabong, take a road trip or just spend a few days relaxing. Try your hand at fishing??
Or hang out in the City and wander the alleys and laneways in Darwin, checkout the street art that decorates the laneways. Restaurants and cafes are plentiful, attractions are open and there is always something going on in the entertainment arena.
Make a return trip in the wet season. The cacophony of croaking frogs makes me giggle and the sight of magpie geese playing in the puddles is such a treat. Plus the magic of the tropical storms, the fierce lightning and roaring thunder with rain that transforms the land into a lush green sea of green.
