Always pay attention to SHIP’S TIME– You don’t want to be the knucklehead running down the dock as the ship is throwing off tie-lines to sail away. Ship’s time rules on the high seas. It doesn’t matter if you’ve sailed into a different time zone. Keep your watch set on ship’s time. Don’t rely on your cell phone, which may switch to local time if you are in port and take your phone off airplane mode. A wristwatch is always best.

If you are not any excursions person, you can get a day pass for that day at a all-inclusive resort for the day. Example when we were in port in Falmouth, Jamaica we got a day pass at the Iberostar Resort in Montego Bay, Jamaica and had a great time.

Drink lots of water! The heat and sun in the Bahamas and the Caribbean are a different type of heat even if you are from Florida. It's not hard to get dehydrated especially if you will be drinking alcohol.Take some type of cup on your cruise to keep water or juice that keeps it cool for a few hours. Before you leave the ship to explore the port or your excursions go by the buffet and fill your container with ice, water or juice just in case you need it.

Select my time dining for the main dining room if you want to be flexible with your dining time during your cruise. My time dining helps with flexibility when it comes to events and shows going on at different times during the evenings of your cruise. Otherwise select an exact time for your dining every evening.

Disembark Day
For it to be faster for you, carry your bags and luggage off of the ship yourself. If you check your bags when exiting the ship it's a longer process than doing it yourself.

In Crete, twilight is a daily experience not to be missed. It's called the "blue hour" because of the bluish hue that fills your gaze wherever you turn. Enjoy the phenomenon to the fullest from a friendly taverna in the marina or while taking a leisurely stroll! In Greece, each island has its own unique charm and character, offering something magical at every stop. Incomparable.

First time cruisers really think about your check-in time and what bags you are checking and bags you are keeping with you to board. Your checked bag may not get to your room until later that evening possibly. You may want to change clothes for swimming or other events. Just food for thought. I am a veteran cruiser so I can answer any questions about different senerios.
