So Russia's Eurovision Song Contest entrant is banned from entering Ukraine...and now she's going to be allowed to sing via satellite.

On 22nd March the Ukrainian authorities issued a travel ban on the artist chosen as the Russian entrant to the Eurovision Song Contest, Julia Samoylova. Today the European Broadcasting Union issued a further statement regarding the issue.

Breaking news - a member of the Russian jury broadcast the strictly closed doors Eurovision Song Contest Semi Final judging on Periscope App and now their votes won't count.

🎤 Update on the SBS Eurovision Insider competition 🎤

After making it to the final stage - an interview via FaceTime -- sorry, "face time" 😉, I've been told today by SBS that they're sending someone else to the Eurovision Song Contest.

Obviously I'm gutted. But I'm still blown away by this experience. I've had such lovely things said by people I haven't talked to for years, let alone the strangers that voted for me on at least four continents. You said I had the passion, ability, and right amount of batsh*t crazy to do this job...and, for some reason, you went with it!

So, thanks guys. I'd give all of you 12 points if I could.

Now it's time to plan a party worthy of the !
