YUKI-ONI Fireworks
Niigata Prefecture is famous for having some of the largest fireworks displays in all of Japan 🎆
Although many of the larger events have been cancelled for the past couple years, Chateau Shiozawa put on a small fireworks show this past weekend amid some very snowy weather to give locals a taste of the festivities anticipated for summer 2022!🤞
Take a look at some highlights from the show here!🤩
The Golden Week holiday season is coming to a close and while this year many people's plans to travel or return home were limited, there were still plenty of ways to enjoy the great weather in Minamiuonuma. As a way to celebrate Children's Day (May 5th) koinobori were put on display at the Osaki Dam Park 🎏 Here dozens of large, colorful carp-shaped streamers were strung above the water's surface as they gracefully flew in the wind. The koinobori will stay up through May and the short path around the pond is great for a stroll outdoors❗️
