Leave No Trace's post says, "Did you know invasive species control costs the United States $120 billion every year? Insects and plants can easily hitch a ride on firewood you haul to or from a campsite and they can damage new habitats that they are introduced to. When camping, buy firewood near your campsite (within 30 miles) instead of bringing your own from home."

Heads up travelers. We rarely post forecasts, but this one warrants your attention if you're going to be traveling in this region. If we were, we wouldn't tomorrow. Pay attention to the conditions!

Be very weather aware on Monday! In addition to being another oppressively hot and humid day, the Storm Prediction Center has a large part of our area in a level 3 out of 5 severe weather risk. Large hail, damaging wind gusts will be the main threat. There is also a risk of a couple of tornadoes. Activity will begin middle to late afternoon and continue into Monday evening.
