Update on the data issues. While the sites look like nothing has changed and it still isn’t working, that is technically true.
However let me explain what is going on. 4th quarter of 2021 CDOT changed their entire data format and and structure without notice rendering our services down until fixed, which required a rebuild of our API ( it’s what our sites talk to to get its data). I got it mostly working to get the sites back up and running and then things mostly sat for the last year as my day job got insanely busy.
My intention was to rebuild things the way I wanted to the first time, but getting time to do that was challenging. Fast forward to the holidays of 2022. I had two weeks off! And I used much of it to rebuild the API. The end of 2022 it came to my attention that the contact forms, alerts and closures broke due to a server update. There was no rolling back and fixing the old API was going to take as much time as rebuilding to use the new API so I opted for that route. January 2023 I have been rebuilding the sites to use the new API in my free time and have been making good progress. I hope to get it rolled out in the next week or two with a few surprises as well.
I hope to get some more information out on the current sites this week about a estimated time for the new sites to be live. Expect some full outages when I start transitioning everything over. Passes will be updated in order of most used.
Hopefully this explains why things have not been working so great lately and things should be much better in the next few weeks.
Safe travels,

PS. I can’t express my gratitude enough for all the donations and kind words I have received over the last year. Thank you so much! It makes working my nights and weekends to get this back online worth it to know how many of you enjoy these free services.
