Google has completely changed the world of travel blogging. Thanks to its HCU (helpful content updates), most independent travel bloggers I know have lost 70-90% of their income (including us).

Answering how/why this has happened is a long story. Today, I stumbled across this article from A Dangerous Business and thought she did an AMAZING job telling the story.

I love that she gives the story and actionable steps you, our readers, can take to help support your favorite content creators.

We are loving the Virgin Voyages cruise model. There is always something going on around the ship and they truly make it an immersive guest experience. You can be as involved as you want, which means it’s perfect for everyone.

Our first evening on board included dinner at The Wake, the ship’s steak and seafood house and partying it up at the sail away party, complete with free bubbly!

For dinner, we chose the filet mignon and it literally melted in your mouth. It paired wonderfully with the cheesy twice baked potatoes and the restaurant’s amazing pull apart bread. We ended the evening with a trip to Lick Me ‘Til…Ice Cream, the ship’s ice cream parlor.

My recent stay in with by was just what I needed!

I shook off the winter cold the minute I stepped foot on this unique property. Surrounded by the lush tropical jungle, Delta Riviera Nayarit offers guests the opportunity to unplug and unwind during their visit, and that’s exactly what I did.

The city portion of our Mountain and City tour in the Dominican Republic included the fort and town square in Puerto Plata, the pink alley, and umbrella street. It was busy, but loads of fun.

A visit to the Dominican Republic has been on my list for a while. We ported in Amber Cove, just outside of Puerto Plata, and boarded an open air safari-style vehicle for our mountain and city tour.

The island is covered with greenery, and seeing the mountains meet the sea is truly spectacular.

Our first stop was Isabel de Torres, a 793 meter tall mountain overlooking Puerto Plata. The views and the lush gardens were gorgeous. Definitely worth a visit during your time in the D.R.

We had so much fun exploring Grand Turk! Renting a golf cart for the day was the perfect way to see the island. We were on our own time and made our own itinerary. We checked out the historic lighthouse, visited the beach, went shopping, and grabbed drinks at Jack’s Shack. You couldn’t ask for a better day!

We recently visited Grand Turk while on a Caribbean cruise. Since we only had about 8 hours on the island, we decided to rent a golf cart and make our own itinerary for the day.

We had the best time!

The golf cart was $70 for the day and was well worth it. We had so much fun and were on our own timeline! I highly recommend doing this if you find yourself on Grand Turk!
