Yahangala, also known as Bed Rock Mountain, is located in Sri Lanka's central highlands on the eastern edge of the Knuckles Mountain Range. The great King Ravanaโ€™s body was kept after his death upon this rock called Yahangala( bedrock), for his countrymen to pay their last respects to their dear departed king. Geographically this rock is visible from miles away on its 3 sides. This rock is not a place to mock around and itโ€™s not an easy hike at all, itโ€™s also believed to be a holy place protected by the local god.

St Clairโ€™s is one of the widest waterfalls in Sri Lanka and called the โ€œLittle Niagara of Sri Lankaโ€. It is a strikingly beautiful waterfall, which is approximately 80 meters in height and 50 meters in width. This waterfall runs over a rock ridge, splitting into three cascades, and drops into a pool. This beautiful falls are situated close to the town of Talawakele on the Hatton-Talawakele Highway in Nuwara Eliya District.

Yapahuwa is located a little way off the Kurunegala-Anuradhapura road, in the Wayamba province of Sri Lanka. The Ruwanweli Maha Seya, also known as the Mahathupa is a stupa in Anuradhapura, Sri Lanka. Two quarts or one Dona of the Buddha's relics are enshrined in the stupa, making it the largest collection of his relics anywhere.

The beautiful Sera Ella falls, which has been a rich source for poetry in the past is situated in Dumbara jungle in Matale, Sri Lanka. The fall is 10 meters high and falls in two sections. The fall is formed by the waters of Thelgamu Oya. To form this waterfall, water from Kitul Canal, from the Kaudagammana Mountain and Hunumadala River join Puwakpitiya River, which later joins Thelgamu Oya.

Amongst the misty peaks of the Central Highlands of Sri Lanka, lies the quaint little village of Nanuoya. It is located within Nuwara Eliya District in the Central Province and is situated approximately 8 km away from Nuwara Eliya.
From Nuwara Eliya you can cross the Nanu Oya and turn right at Radella Shortcut Road to reach this small but beautiful waterfall located in the Glassaugh Estate. If the water level in Nanu Oya is low during the rainy season, this waterfall is only a small stream.
