Visit one of our favourite art museums: The Musée d’Orsay 🎨 Renowned for its famous impressionist paintings, this museum tells the story of the progression of art from 1848-1914 and the Memories France tour really brings a new understanding and appreciation to this underrated art museum. Situated right in the centre of Paris, this gallery is incredibly easy to get to and the RER metro line C is right next to it! This gorgeous space, initially set for demolition after it fell into disuse, was saved by the local Parisians. We all know navigating airports can be a challenge, but for the easiest way to head into the centre of Paris, the RER B line is your best option, taking just 30 minutes to reach Gare du Nord! If you head to the right you can also access trains to the rest of France. If you need any more help, information offices are clearly marked opposite the ticket booths. Another great alternative if you want to prepare ahead of time is to download the Île-de-France mobilités app which will allow you to book tickets ahead of time. Do note there are several options available and you need to ensure you purchase the “to/from airport”tickets when leaving and arriving at Charles de Gaulle, which currently costs €13 a ticket online. If you need to grab a bite, there are a couple of shops dotted around, but right next to the ticket gates is a small Monoprix supermarket with a great collection of sandwiches and snacks when you’re in a pinch. If you want to beat the queues but not miss out on this undeniable institution of France, we’d recommend getting to Notre-Dame cathedral for its opening at 7:45am. We arrived at 7:30am and entered at exactly 7:45 when the doors opened. Even when mass is going on, it is still possible to wander round and enjoy the beauty of this elegant masterpiece, quietly of course. Take time to admire the huge effort that went into restoring Notre-Dame after a devastating fire in 2019, the stonework, the paintings, and the astounding stained glass that look even more magical as the sun slowly starts to rise down the centre of the cathedral, bathing the whole building in a stained glass glow as it does.

Sightseeing around Paris doesn't have to break the bank. Instead of spending €30 in a crowded tourist spot on one mediochre meal, follow this itinerary for the day to see some key cultural cornerstones of Paris, as well as some gorgeous insider foodie spots, all for the same price!
1. Petit Palais: Opened in 1900 as part of the Universal Exhibition by the architect Charles Girault. It houses Rembrant, Monet and Manet, amongst others, alongside a year-round luscous green garden, some of the most stunning painted ceilings in Paris, and a great coffee shop for a morning cup of Joe ☕
2. Musée d'Orsay: Originally designed as a train station for the first electric trains, the building was nearly knocked down after it fell into disuse. Thankfully, the Directorate of the Museum of France helped to transform it into the glorious Art Museum we know today. Memories France offers an incredible skip-the-line tour of this establishment that provides a whole new appreciation of the Impressionist movement and those that came before.
3. La Focacceria: A brilliant little sandwich shop with fully customiseable options, a small seating area (including an outdoor porch for when its sunny) and a stones throw from some of the best shopping areas in the Marais.
4. Notre Dame: A must-see after its recent opening to the public following a devestating fire in 2019. The rays of light coming through the stained glass windows are mesmerising, and seeing this ia catholic church, how it would have intially been in the 1300s, is a beautifully rare glimpse into France's iconic past.
5. Walks down the Seine: Walking over the Île de France and down the Seine, taking in the riverside shopping stands and seeing the last rays of sun dipping over the horizon, is an opportunity that can't be missed. Admire the beautifully classic facades and soak in the Parisian atmosphere.
6. Le Polidor: An incredible traditional French bistro tucked off Boulevard Saint-German right in
