Honestly, Colombia was one of the most social trips of my entire life. 🤷‍♀️

I went there alone but met friends in Bogota that I later met up with in Medellin. And new friends in Medellin that saw me roaming around Guatape.

And it's not just 18-year-old backpackers, either. I met other travelers in their 30s, 40s, and 50s.

My brother and I took speedboats out to pristine islands owned by the Guna Yala, caught the sunrise from the top of an active volcano, watched ships go through the Panama Canal, explored ruins in Panama City, hiked to waterfalls, stayed in jungle nature domes, and swam in both the Caribbean and Pacific. 🌴

Just a few reasons why Panama is a severely underrated Central American country.
