This is the perfect hike for first time hikers and for families looking for something to do on the weekend. The difficulty rating is 2/10. It is a mostly flat trail with some river crossings (ankle height), there is also one short uphill portion. We look forward to seeing you this weekend! Our first hike for June is on Sat 22nd, to the beautiful Cyril Bay beach located off the North Coast of Trinidad 🏝 This was the go to beach for locals prior to the completion of the North Coast Road. On Easter Monday 🐰🐣1st April - Zorro Waterfall Join the Hikers United Crew as we head to the beautiful Zorro Waterfall along the North Coast of Trinidad 💦 This waterfall is located before Las Cuevas Beach but after Maracas Bay. It is an easy hike with a difficulty rating of 1/10 however please note that at one point you will be walking through waist high water (for the average adult) and you will also have to climb a rock along the way. However, we have had kids on this hike and persons of all ages so it is doable even for a first time hiker ☺️ (plus, we will be there to help you along the way). 🕐 Meeting pt: Uncle Sam's, Maracas Bay. Sunday 24th March - Twin Falls, Brasso Seco 💦 On Sunday 24th March, join the Hikers United crew as we visit one of the hidden gems of Trinidad's Northern Range. Nestled in the quiet village of Brasso Seco is the beautiful Twin Falls. The hike has a difficulty level of 3/10 and is good for first time hikers and families. There is an approximately 20 minute trek along the road to the river with a small uphill and downhill portion. Following this we will walk on the river-bed for about fifteen minutes. 🌲💧🌤 Please note: there is one area along the river where the water is approximately waist high, so you will get wet. 💰 Cost $100 (with light refreshments) 🚗 Parking $25 😀Meeting Point: outside of Sherwin Williams Paint Store, O'Meara Road, Arima * NB. Views from the top of Avocat Waterfall 💦🌿 There are still a few spots remaining. Join the Hikers United Crew as we head to the beautiful Avocat Waterfall in Blanchisseuse 🌿💧. This hike is perfect for first time hikers and families and usually take about 45 minutes from the start of the trail to reach to the waterfall. The trail is mostly flat except at the end where there is slight uphill and then downhill trek to the waterfall. Most of the hike is through ankle high water, with one or two areas where the water is knee high. Difficulty rating: 2/10. NB.
