New Vinson 2 minute video with subtitles!
Check out http://7summitsclub.com/programs/all/object_7/ to join one of our upcoming Mount Vinson expeditions from December 2019 - January 2020. Or contact us here as 7summits and 7summits club organise these expeditions together.

There is an early booker's discount, but it might be gone soon as often in May all trips are already fully booked and there are simply no more spaces available on the famous Ilyushin plane that lands (with wheels, not skis!) on the blue Antarctic ice.

Now this great overview video has English subtitles! Enjoy this excellent video made during one of our recent Mount Vinson expeditions, led by the 7summits expert Alex Abramov. The climbing is hard and it can be very cold in Antarctica, but there is always a reason to smile and enjoy the fact that you are climbing the 7 summits!
Sharing is much appreciated!

Pasang Lhamu Sherpa was born in the shadow of Mt Everest. All she wanted was the chance to climb it. But Sherpa women climbing mountains was unheard of at the time.

Equipped with a climbing rope, an ice axe, and a relentless will to succeed, she broke through age-old cultural barriers to become the first female Sherpa to summit Everest. But things took a tragic turn on her descent.

Pasang became a hero in Nepal, but she did not live to share her story. We need YOU to help us tell it.

Frank Wells and Dick Bass had a dream. It was as straightforward as it was difficult: climb the highest mountain on each of the world's seven continents. From Aconcagua in South America to Mount Everest in Asia, from Kilimanjaro in Africa to Vinson Massif in Antarctica, from Mount McKinley in No...

Congratulations to Kilian Jornet!

[EXPEDITION UPDATE]
Kilian Jornet reached the summit of Everest at midnight of 21st to 22nd May (local time) in a single climb without the help of oxygen or fixed ropes.

He reached the summit via the north face of the world’s highest mountain (8,848m) following the traditional route. Kilian Jornet began the challenge at Everest Base Camp Base near the ancient Rombuk monastery (5,100m) on May 20 at 22h local time (+5:45 GMT).

At 12h15 local time of May 22nd he is back in the Advanced Base Camp (6,500m) where he confirmed summiting Everest at midnight, 26 hours after beginning the ascent.

38 hours after starting the temptative, he has arrived to the Advanced Base Camp of Everest, he explained: “Until I reached 7.700m I felt good and was going according to my planning, but there I started to feel stomachache, I guess due to an estomach virus. From there I have moved slowly and stopping every few steps to recover. However, I made it to the summit at midnight”.

Due to this indisposition, Kilian Jornet choses to conclude the attempt, and stay in the Advanced Base Camp and not returning to the Rongbuk as planned.

Once we have more information about the challenge, we will inform through the channels of Summits of My Life.
---

Finalmente, he hecho cumbre a medianoche"
