Meet Brenda Conley, Executive Director with Kwanza Kazi, which is Swahili for "First Work." Brenda shares a little about her journey through her career. "As the first female, African American Line"man" in my state, I was and am honored to have been recognized by all of my peers and strangers who I've met. I started a non-profit as a result of giving back to my community and to help women who are interested in the trades; training, job search and retention." Her piece of advice resonates well with her career journey to starting her own non-profit. "Hang in there and onto the passion that makes dreams come true."
