Today is my older son's birthday! Birthdays are a great opportunity to give experiences not things! We have made so many wonderful memories over the years celebrating our boys' birthdays. From Walt Disney World to Disneyland to an RV road trip to Utah to car road trips to different cities to catch NBA games and the NCAA tournament, each trip has provided it's own kind of celebration. Happy St. Patrick's Day! Chicago is an iconic American city that everyone should experience at least once. While there are lots of great reasons to visit, it hosts one of the biggest St. Patrick's Day celebrations in America. We recently learned that we will be in Chicago for St. Patrick's Day 2025 as our son and his high school band will be participating in the Chicago St. Patrick's Day Parade.

While there are many amazing destinations around the world, there are plenty of wonderful places to visit right here in the USA! We're trying to take our kids to as many states as possible before they leave home. We have 8 left! Our older son is a freshman in high school, so the clock is ticking. We've done pretty well so far. Hopefully we will at least finish the contiguous 48 before he graduates!
