If you are interested in travelling please let me know asap, as there is little or no point sending a bus over there (Please note Huntingdon is safe as a pick-up)

People who have travelled with us and people who have not yet had the experience, it would be great to see you on the buses to M'era Luna in 2024, the places are selling fast!!
We are now rapidly heading towards the summer festival season, so time to let you know we still have limited availability of places for the trip this year. Leeds is currently sold out with a waiting list in place! All the other buses have availability currently, but will sell out soon!
So if you fancy a trip to the M’era Luna festival in 2024, now is the time to let HQ know. Price is £530 which includes all the travel to and from the festival from UK pick up points, the festival ticket and a reserved camping area just for Goths on a bus!
Departing on 8th August and arriving back late 12th/early 13th August!
It’s a great line up again this year!

From HQ: Wow! i am seriously humbled and impressed!!! With the People who have taken up the super early bird and pay monthly options, the trip for 2024 is nearly 80% sold out already less than a month after the places went on sale,
So if you want to guarantee a place for 2024, I will need deposits of £200 from you ASAP or will need the first payment of £40 and standing orders set up for October-August now.

Prices for 2024

This year i am doing a few things a little different.

Payment option 1, (Super Early Bird) pay in Full by the end of August 2023, Price is the same as 2023, £420

Payment option 2 (Early Bird) Pay monthly, 12 monthly payments of £40 September 23-August 24 on 1st each month, total price £480

Payment option 3, (Early Bird) Pay deposit £200 before 30th November 2023, Balance of £280 payable by 1st June 2024, Total price £480

Payment option 4 (Full Price) Pay deposit £200 1st December 2023, balance of £330 payable by 1st June 2024

Any bookings after 1st June 2024, will require payment in full straight away.

The small print,

Please note any cancellation before 31st March 2024, Deposit will be returned less a £20 admin charge per person

Any Cancellation after 31st March 2024, Deposit will be NON Returnable

From HQ: We still have a limited numbers of spaces on the trip to M'era Luna in Germany, departing late afternoon Thursday 10th August, returning small hours of Tuesday 15th August. £475 all inclusive of transport, festival ticket, and reserved Goths on a bus camping area

M'era Luna in Hildesheim is the biggest Goth festival in the world, two huge stages, 44 bands over 2 days, traders, medieval village, 36,000 people.
Effectively the party starts the moment we set off, we have an appropriate playlist (played at moderate volume) curated by DJ Black Orchid, moderate drinking is allowed on the bus, and as everyone gets a double-seat to themselves, we all have plenty of space to spread out and relax.
The ferry crossing of the channel is with DFDS, nice ships with good food, breakfast is taken at Bottrop near Oberhausen, and we get to Hildesheim for lunch time Friday. There's a hypermarket stop before the actual festival grounds, and once on-site we have our own, fenced area for the Goths on a Bus encampment.
£120 deposit secures a place with balance to be paid before the trip.

From HQ: Festival season 2022 is pretty well over and i hope you all had a brilliant summer, Shelly and I certainly did!
So looking forward to 2023, and Goths on A Bus to M'era Luna festival in August, I am very pleased to say that we have now passed the 100 confirmed bookings stage, and as such the buses are getting full, (very limited places now on both the Northern buses) so with the early bird bargain price of £420 still available until 1st Jan, if you are interested, then now is the time to get a deposit in to confirm your booking!

From HQ: Apologies for the delay in getting this post out, i have done a number of amendments with Astons to get a price with using DFDS instead of P&O, as i know a lot of us are not happy with their ethics, and the quality of service we received this time. So i will be using DFDS, and included in the price is a meal voucher ticket, so in effect an element of food cost on the ferry is built into the price. So Early bird price is £420, Deposit of £120 as soon as you can, balance by 1st July 2023, OR monthly payments of £35 per person 1st September 2022 to 1st August 2023 inclusive. You can also pay the full amount if you wish. The Early bird price will be available for any bookings before 1st Jan 2023. Full price place will be £475, which will be available from 1st Jan 2023 onwards. Please not that after 1st April, the £120 deposit element will be non returnable, due to purchase of tickets. Should the event be cancelled either M'era Luna itself or Goths on a bus, refunds will be in full less an admin charge of £10 per person. I know this is a significant increase in price, but with inflation as it is, and also general costs increasing based on the prices i was charging for 2020, are actually tracking slightly less than expected. Looking forward to seeing you all again in August 2023

From HQ: (slowly recovering after festival!) So, I hope everyone had a wonderful and enjoyable festival, and that you enjoyed the music. The weather was lovely, but a little warm! so i am a little bit sunburnt!!
The journey out was almost perfect, a little more complex on the way back, but unexpected challenges happen when trying to do these things
So to the "Thank You's"
First and foremost a big thank you to our friends at Factory 92 who act on our behalf to communicate with FKP Scorpio, and special mention for Ida Sällinen, who has worked so hard to get us the dedicated camping area, sorted out our bus access and parking and generally made it much easier for us,
Second on my list, a person that only a few of you may have ever seen or spoken to is Amy Thornber, who is our main contact at Astons Coaches, Amy has looked after us from Day 1 and continues to be an integral part of the trip (You need to come with us Amy!)
Third on the list are our "Fantastic 5" tour drivers, Tom Ferrier, Mike Hall, Nick Danter, Chris Griffin and Albert Król, who got us to and from the festival safely, and had a great time throughout the trip and especially meeting you all. Also a huge part of the team are the Feeder drivers in the UK, who pick you guys up and drop you off
Fourth on the list "Goths on a bus.DE" our friends Stefan Bock, Jan Ina, Thomas Grotenhofer, and Mark Booth, your on site guides and German speaking Stewards, what they did on site to prepare for your arrival was superb!
Fifth on the list (but not in importance) are the Coach stewards, who made running 5 buses both possible, and relatively straightforward! Thank you, Jack Howard, Steve Godfrey, Jack Powell, Jamie Mann, Shelly Atkins, Sara Davies, and Kat Andreas, and of course the "recruited" deputy Selam Adamu! You are all stars
And last but by no means least YOU GUYS that were along on the trip for 2022, I had a wonderful time meeting friends old and new, that love the festival, and as before we will be back in 2023, bigger (possibly) Better (certainly) brighter (will leave that to Jamie Mann lol)
It is hard work organising this, but its a real pleasure to do, especially when i hear how much its appreciated.

From HQ: An update on availability, we still have 4 places left, but the allocation of buses is now fixed, so i can confirm that I have one place only available on the bus from Bristol/Leigh Delamare/Southampton/Redhill and Dover
The other three places are available from Leeds/Wakefield/Sheffield/Nottingham/Huntingdon/Cambridge, one of which is for the bargain price of £300, as its to cover a cancellation of an early bird ticket
The other two buses (midlands and London area) are now sold out
So lets get these last few places sold, tell friends, twist arms, only about 7 weeks to go and we are off to this great festival once again!

From HQ: I hope everyone is well, and looking forward to a more relaxed summer, and the European festivals, due to the trip to M'era Luna in 2020 being postponed for 2 years, i have had very large amount of cancellations for 2022, and subsequently have a lot of places up for grabs. As you all know, i run this "not for profit" and with the increased costs of tickets and fuel, i absolutely need to sell all the places to break even. So if you want to join us for the trip in 2022, or had to cancel in 2020 or 2021, then please come forward to join us as soon as you can, it will be a great festival, and we have our own dedicated "Goths on a bus" Camping area, so we will be much closer to the festival main arena. Price is £350 including all travel from UK pickups to and from the festival, the festival ticket and dedicated camping area. I hope everyone that attended at Resistanz over the Easter weekend had a great time, unfortunately Shelly and i couldnt make it this year!
So the year is passing at lightning speed and it wont be long before our trip to The M'era Luna festival 2022, I have had a few people cancel due to various reasons, so currently i have 10 places left across all the buses, the places are £350, which includes all travel from UK pickup points, the festival ticket and a dedicated Goths on a Bus camping area.
Also i have 2 "bargain" places from Leeds, as the person(s) who wish to cancel have offered their two places at £300! First come first served
Pickups in 2022 are, Leeds, Wakefield, Sheffield, Nottingham, Huntingdon, Cambridge, Birmingham, Oxford, Reading, Slough Worcester, Bristol, Southampton, Hatton Cross (Heathrow), Watford Junction, Potters Bar, Redhill and Dover Priory.

Its been a while!!! Subject to the usual disclaimers, i have been in touch with my contacts in Germany and the festival will run this year as planned, most Covid restrictions are being lifted in Germany over the next few weeks.
So! we still have a limited number of spaces on the buses, (7 to be honest) which have been created, by adding the 5th bus, and through cancellations from people who can no longer go. The places are £350 including all the coach travel from pickup points to the festival, the festival ticket, and dedicated "Goths on a bus" camping area

Its a bit warm at the moment, and sitting in the garden listening to great bands from previous trips to the M'era Luna festival, has prompted me to put up an announcement that we have 5 buses booked for the festival for 2022, and we are very nearly sold out, as it stands we have 7 places left from Birmingham/Oxford/Reading/Bristol/Worcester/London(all pickups) and Dover.

From HQ: Update from previous. Due to demand i have now booked the extra (5th) bus, and adjusted the routes provisionally to balance numbers across the buses, so we now have some limited availability from Birmingham London (all pickups) Southampton, Bristol and Worcester
Leeds, Sheffield Huntingdon and Cambridge remain sold out at this point, but again i will operate a reserve list in case of cancellations
As before the 5th bus puts a personal financial risk to me, but it does mean that i can offer all the current reserves a place, which i am pleased to do

Afternoon everyone, as per my previous post, the 4 buses for M'era Luna 2022 are now fully booked apart from one space from Leeds, and i am operating a reserve list in case of any cancellations.
However IF and only IF there is enough interest, i am considering opening up bookings for a 5th Bus. As you all know i operate this trip not for profit, and a 5th Bus is a considerable financial risk, but if there is anyone out there in the group who is considering travelling to M'era Luna 2022, now is the time to make yourself known, also anyone who cancelled for 2020/21 and wants to rejoin the trip for 2022!

Good afternoon everyone, as most of you will have seen M'era Luna 2021 has been postponed to 2022 due to the restrictions surrounding Coronavirus. I think its a sensible decision from the organisers, and also reduces any risk to the Goths on a Bus people if we had attended in 2021.
So now we look forward to 2022! I am sure with Vaccinations etc then the festival will run in 2022 and will be safe for us to attend.

So please read this carefully,
1: If you wish to roll your booking forward to 2022, please DO NOT respond to this thread, and i will take that as read, also the Price you have paid or signed up for will be honoured for the 2022 trip
