INDIAN AIRPORTS PERFORMANCE CHECK

Passengers should ideally not encounter any inconvenience at airports, but standing in queues is often a harsh reality.

The Ministry of Civil Aviation in India has introduced ‘processing time’ as a key benchmark to assess the performance of an airport.

Do rate the level of inconvenience caused to you due to waiting time in queues during your last flight experience.

On a scale of 1 to 5, where 1 means no inconvenience, and 5 means highly inconvenient due to longer waiting time, please tell me how much inconvenience you faced at the following locations:

1. Entry gate
2. Check-in counters
3. Security checkpoint
4. Emigration departure
5. Special Lounges
6. Immigration (arrival)

Include the airport's name, the airline overseeing the check-in counter (you were flying with), the Lounge operator, and the month and year of your journey.

Can hashtags such as " " be used to help? What do you think the best way is to find a helpful person who might be a FlightAmigo on this platform but may not be active at that moment?

My dear Amigos,

Recently, while travelling from India to Cuba via the USA, I encountered an elderly lady from Punjab who was in a miserable situation at Newark Airport. She had missed her connecting flight to Canada and was in distress. It was not her fault. It was due to the delay in the flight from Delhi. To add to her miseries, the transfer desk at the airport was reluctant to help her. As a fellow passenger, I tried my best to help her out.

However, this incident made me realize the need for a support system for unaccompanied passengers. I have encountered many posts on various Facebook groups where members seek companions for their parents or loved ones on the same flight. Hence, a new initiative called has been introduced on Facebook.

It is a free community that aims to connect needy passengers with friendly passengers. I am sharing this information here as it could be helpful for you or someone you know looking for companions for their loved ones during their air travel.

Now, you, who are reading the post! Do you know that you have the power to make a difference in someone's life, even if you're not on a plane?
