Evesham Abbey Allotments Association Evesham Abbey Allotments are found on the site of the old cloisters where the Abbey was sited. These allotments have been cultivated for over 120 years

visitors to the grounds will now see that all of the allotment holders in the centre area had to give up their land- this is now weeds and brambles, possibly some gardeners will be able to stay for a couple more years- who knows. Goodbye 140 years

Despite the allotment holders having less than 12 months to go before they have to quit the land, cultivation and planting is 'full steam ahead' We just need spring to really arrive and get some warmth into the soil. If you are atround the abbey gardens do come and have a look, best viewing point is the cloister arch

We should have an article in the Evesham observer tomorrow, hopefully this may put our views to the town

Just received our notice to quit the allotments, 140 years down the tube, great!!

Last night(Monday 14th) we all saw the plans that are proposed to change our allotments for ever. No more fruit or vegetables, more formal gardens and the request for public money for the upkeep. It is a shame that we cannot work together to give Evesham and visitors a unique view of where it all started, the vale of Evesham!

Spring is on its way, and the allotments are being prepared and seeds sown for the coming season. The profile picture shows the allotments as viewed from inside looking towards the cloister arch. Come and see us when you are passing, We will add more pictures as the season starts

These allotments are sited at the top of Evesham Abbey Gardens, and viewed through the cloisters arch. Gardeners are found most days growing vegetables and fruit for their family table
