🚨Important Post 2025 Changes🚨

I am making some changes for 2025 as I am trying to get my travel business more organized especially with my book of business growing more and more each year.

1. Office hours M- Th 9a - 2p Fri 9a - 12p. (after hours by appt)
2. Quote request via link: All requests will be made via my bio link forms. If you send a message to my personal page or business page, I will send you the link so you can fill out the correct form. Messages are getting pushed down by other messages.
3. Response time 24-48 hours M-F. This isn't new but I wanted to make a reminder that my response time is 24-48 hours. If request comes in on Friday or the weekend, they will wait be answered during the next business hours. Unless you are traveling or it's an urgent issue for upcoming travel.
4. Communication via email. All communications after initial message will be via email. This way it is all in one location so I can find them easier and not lost in messages or text. Only time text or phone calls will work is by appointment, two weeks prior to travel, or during travel.
5. Credit Card Authorization Form. All Clients will be required to sign a credit card authorization form.
6. Proof of Passport prior to booking international or cruise travel. I will be requesting a photocopy of all travelers' passport so that I can keep them on file and to check expiration dates. If you are just applying for your first passport, I will need a copy after you receive it. Some countries require your passport to be valid for 6 months after travel.
7. Terms and conditions signed. This will be done when you send in your travel request since it is on the bottom of the request form.
8. Cancellation Policy. I will now require all clients who wish to cancel a trip to put this in writing that way I have documentation of the cancellation request and can save these in your client folder in my email account.

Domestic Thursday: Unique Hotel
This week’s unique hotel is The Equinox Golf Resort & Spa located in Manchester, VT. The Equinox’s history goes back to the American Revolution and was originally known as the Marsh Tavern that hosted American Revolutionists, Presidents, and other guests in one fashion or another since 1769. Other former names of the resort were Widow Black’s Inn, Vanderlip’s Hotel, the Taconic, and the Orvis Hotel. It became known as the Equinox in 1839. Today guests can enjoy the historic charm and modern charm the resort has to offer. The Equinox Resorts consist of the Main Inn which is the heart of the resort. The Main Inn offers guests luxurious and spacious accommodations with world-class amenities and the quintessential England ambiance. Then when guests are looking for rustic charm and natural elegance, they can find this at the Ovis Inn. Making Memories Monday

Breisach Germany was one of the ports I was really looking forward to on our Avalon River cruise. After arriving at the port, we loaded busses to head to the Black Forest where we visited Vogtsbauernhof Open Air Museum. Here we were able to see homes from as early as the 1600 to learn how the farms of the Black Forest were ran. After touring the homes, we had two presentations from locals. The first one we learned about the traditional customs of the area that included discussing the dress the women wore along with the traditional pompom hat. The lady in the photo received hers from her God Mother instead of from her mother. The hat she has on is over 100 years old and the dress was 50 years old. The single women wear the red pompoms, then once married they wear the black pompoms. Our second presentation was butter making, which I actually took my turn at helping make. Both presentations were very interesting and right up my alley since I love history. After finishing in this area of the museum we walked over to the shop where we were able to meet one of the carvers for the Cuckoo Clocks and watch his demonstration of putting them together. The shop had so many amazing cuckoo clocks that they had carved and if you purchased one, they are able to ship it back home for you. This day definitely brought back so many memories of my days in Indiana Little Hoosiers and summers at History Camp.

Hello Winter!

Winter is the time when everything seems to be still and quiet. There's beauty in the freshly fallen snow on the ground where no footprints have been found. The warmth of a fire burning and seeing the flames dancing about. Snuggled under a blanket watching my favorite movie and sipping on hot chocolate. These are just some things about winter that bring peace. But with the cold, I dream of a tropical place with the warmth sun and sounds of the crashing waves because this is where my heart is.
