It’s World Samosa Day!

Samosas are a fried pyramid-shaped dish filled with onions, potatoes, cheese, peas, and several other filling options. They are extremely popular in India, Egypt, South Africa, and the Middle East. Generally eaten as appetizers, for Samosa fans, it is a three-course meal, and World Samosa Day is a day of festivities.

Sanaa at Walt Disney World’s Animal Kingdom Lodge has some of the best Samosas! The are filled with Potato and Pea with Tamarind and Mango Chutney (Plant-based) for $11.00.

Epcot’s International Food & Wine Festival at Walt Disney World has begun and I am here for it! This annual Culinary Adventure runs through November 23rd and is not to be missed!

Day 1 was yesterday and I started snacking my way around the World, thanks to YOU! Y’all voted and helped me to make some difficult decisions on what to try!

🇲🇽: Tostada de Camarones: Tempura-Battered Shrimp atop a Fried Corn Tortilla with Guacamole, Cabbage, Chipotle Aïoli, Diced Mango and Chile-Lime Powder ($7.75)

🍹Poblano Margarita: Lalo Tequila Blanco, Abasolo Corn Whisky, Lime Juice and Ancho Reyes Verde Chile Poblano Liqueur with a Salt Rim ($13.00)

🇮🇹: Polpettine Toscane: Beef Meatballs, Rosemary Focaccia and Pomodoro Sauce ($8.50)

🍷Italian-inspired Blood Orange Margarita: Tequila, Triple Sec and Blood Orange Liqueur ($12.00)

Takeaways….in true Italy fashion, the festival’s booth is a big flop. Seriously, don’t let your curiosity get the best of you. Save your money and skip the booth.

Loved both items from Bramblewood Bites! The pork was perfectly cooked and the slaw was packed with flavor. The Old Fashion was great! I’d go back again for both and look forward to trying more dishes from this booth.

I also was a BIG fan of the Tostada de Camarones from Mexico. It was packed with flavor and fresh. Took me to Baja in a bite! I’m excited to try more from this booth too!
