Just a very quick message. I have had to make a very big decision this week with regarding the running of the November 23 Holiday. Due to Tracey’s health I have asked John & Adele Lyon to stand in for me with the running of the holiday & competitions. Nothing will change and the format will be as previous years. John & Adele will meet you at the airport and guide you as I would so look out for them or the sign Crown Green Group or Ces Hope. Jo and all at the Staff at the Athena (including Ann & Trevor) are working with them so please help them as much as you help me. Have an amazing time and hopefully see you all very soon, John Hope

For all Group members who will be attending the Fun Day at New Longton Bowling Club on Sunday, 25th June,, it would help enormously if you could be at the venue for 10.30am, in order that the draw and all necessary paper work can by completed for 11am. Follow up from my last notification about the Crown Green Group fun day which is to be held at New Longton Bowling Club from 10.30am on the 25th June, the usual bowling competition will be held. This will take the format of a Round Robin and, depending on the number of bowlers attending, will be either a singles or a pairs. The necessary groups will be formed on the day.
Each bowler will be asked to pay £5 and this money will be placed into the prize fund for allocation at the end of the competition. There will also be sponsorship money added to this pot.
Sausage barm cake, tea and coffee will be available on arrival, at a small cost and the monies raised from the refreshments will be donated to New Longton Bowling Club for their kindness in allowing us the use of their green and Clubhouse.
A quality buffet will be provided, free of charge, in the late afternoon.
A weeks holiday accommodation for one person at The Athena Beach Hotel, free of charge, has been donated by Jo on behalf of Constant Travel. This does not include any travel costs and must be taken during our November 23 or February 24 holiday periods. We will advise later as to how it will be allocated.
Please notify John as soon as you possibly can in order that we may keep ahead of all necessary arrangements.
Here’s hoping for a sunny and a fair wind.

I have been asked about dates for November, Jo & I are just waiting for jet2 to release flights so fingers crossed by the time we arrive late February we should have dates and costing.

If your in Paphos you must try English style fish & chips. One of the best if not the best I’ve ever had, €12.50 and never left a drop. English owners having a go. Give them a try
